...Well, at least not if you don't plan on paying our staff for going halfway across the world.

Red Sox vote not to board plane for Japan, play final spring game. (ESPN)

Season hasn't even begun yet, and already we've had Rays going Pete Rose, Hank Steinbrenner galore, Bonds will NEVER RETIRE WOOOOO, and now this.

I love March.

Resolved (news.yahoo.com). Good looking out by the players for the coaches.

I kept hoping that somehow MLB wouldn't back down and the Red Sox could have gotten out of this pointless trip. At least they stuck up for the coaching staff.

On one hand I can see the business aspect for the game going over seas to start the season ... then again I see Bobby Valentine's view as well Click Here (sports.espn.go.com)
I wonder if this got him officially blackballed from MLB.

This off-season is starting to be reminiscent of what occurred in the early 90's after the collusion era ended and the owners got their hands on the billion dollar plus TV deal with CBS.
