Does ANYONE out there absolutely LOVE some of the Trance tunes up there? Specifically, guys like Raymond Wave, Astral Projection, Yahel, DJ Mary-Jane, Nexxus Record, Trance Control, Guardians of the Earth, Divinorum, Infected Mushroom, and so on!!!
It's just, really good Trance CD's are hard to come by, and they usually cost a bundle (in Canada, anyway), and I simply find it amazing that there's so much free QUALITY stuff up there...
So, anyone else as big a MP3.com junkie that I am?
If you like Trance, you should maybe look into getting Digital Cable. On channel 437 on Roger's system here in Calgary, they have awesome Ambient 24 hours a day. Right now I'm blasting "Best Friend, Paranoia" by William Orbit.
(Ambient is very similar to Trance isn't it? Crazy kids with all their "drum-and-bass" and "trance" and "house" ...)
Let me put you in the picture, let me show you what I mean; The Messiah is my sister, ain't no king man, she's my queen.
Yeah, digital cable's good for this sort of thing. Right now (down in the States, on Music Choice, channel "Origens"), they're playing DJ Irene's new mix CD "Photosynthesis". It's mostly hard house, but she ends the set with some trance... quite good so far. (They don't have the titles, but from what I can tell, it gets good around tracks 10-15.) Then again, I'm more partial to house, but since I have no clue what determines genre (other than the trance formula and that Basement Jaxx's first CD revived innovation in house)...
The songs are pretty much inspired by bad relationships. The moods are pretty chaotic because I write stuff over a long period of time, so if the mood of the relationship changed, the mood in the song changed.
Maggie was a girl that really screwed with my mind.
Guru, you inspire me to go put up my music on there.
(Edit) Acually, I might just do that sometime soon... but hey, won't advertizing get you... BANISHED from here?
(Edit #2) Oh, I failed to mention that I did enjoy a few of your tracks up there, Guru. You have talent. Ever consider saving up some $$$ and buying some good equipment? Your synths sounded about 20 years old. I'd like to hear a couple of those songs remastered... you never know... maybe you could try to pawn off copies to everyone who reads yours, and your brother's recaps.
I actually don't mind Kid Rock. He's one of the few rap/rock guys that seems to have an understanding that a song doesn't always need to be in a minor key. That said, the Coors commercials are pretty lame. Can you say sellout?
