Saw a poster for what appeared to be a condensed 3D version of Toy Story 1 and 2 today while at the movies. {the poster said Parts 1 and 2 in 3D) Has anybody heard if its going to be condensed, or actual full length both of them at one time?

It's Wikipedia page says:

On October 2, 2009 the film will be re-released in Disney Digital 3-D.[29] The film will be released with Toy Story 2 as a double feature for a two-week run.[30] In addition, the film's second sequel, Toy Story 3, will also be released in the 3-D format.[29] Lasseter commented on the new 3-D re-release: "The Toy Story films and characters will always hold a very special place in our hearts and we're so excited to be bringing this landmark film back for audiences to enjoy in a whole new way thanks to the latest in 3-D technology. With Toy Story 3 shaping up to be another great adventure for Buzz, Woody and the gang from Andy's room, we thought it would be great to let audiences experience the first two films all over again and in a brand new way."[31]

I'm guessing it's the full blown flicks, just in 3-D.

And that's not all.

Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Aladdin will be released in 3-D in 2010, '11 and '12, respectively.

I knew about these releases, but had never heard about 1 & 2 together. I always thought they would be a few months apart.

These are classics and some of my favorite films ever. I'm apprehensive about a third film messing up a nearly flawless original and sequel combination.
In Pixar we trust - I hope.

I remember seeing Lion King when it came out in the theaters way back when. Of course by then I was already maybe a bit older than the target demographic. I'll never forget the sound of an entire theater of rugrats crying when Mufasa died.

I'd bank on seeing the 3D re-release in a couple of years but I'm afraid that at my current age I'd be unable to contain my evil laughter at a similar sound.
