FUCK YOU KANSAS. I hope your whole entire state gets hit by a tornando and the only thing that survives over there is raw sewage. No, I take that back, that would be an improvement on that shit-stained state full of underperforming assholes.
Can you tell who I had winning it all? I'm going to go riot.
At this point, I'm pinning my hopes on having the highest possible score left. Going 25-for-38 isn't too bad, but I've lost two of my Elite Eight teams. Thanks, Northern Iowa and Washington. I'll be swinging by to kick you both in the shins later.

I can't believe you guys haven't yet mentioned Ali Farokhmanesh's Three Pointer of the Year (maybe it's because spelling "Farokhmanesh" isn't the easiest thing in the world). That was the biggest "NOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU D-- YES!!!!!!" moment I've seen in a very long time.

In my ESPN.com bracket I'm pinning my hopes on the same thing. Before the Kansas-UNI game my PPR (possible points remaining) was last in my group. After the game I was in second. Everyone in my group except for me picked Kansas to at least make the national championship game, and most of them had Kansas winning the whole thing. I have them losing in the Final Four round to Syracuse. So, even though I'm missing four Elite Eight teams and one Final Four team, I'm sitting pretty.
I was sitting even prettier before BYU lost to Kansas State. I had BYU losing to Syracuse. I figured if they could ride their 3pt shooting past KSU, they would have had a virtual home court advantage against Xavier/Pitt since the game is in frickin SALT LAKE CITY. In fact the eventual matchup with Syracuse is also in Salt Lake City but thankfully I was too chickenshit to put BYU in the Final Four.
Why on earth did so many people have Villanova in the Final Four/national championship game?? Not just you guys, I've seen it in all of my pools. Was no one paying attention to how bad they were at the end of the season?

Yeah, even though I'm down six Sweet Sixteen teams already, I only had two of them in the Elite Eight, and all four Final Four teams are still around. Of course, this whole bracket hinges on everything breaking right, especially when the champion was picked to lose their first-round game... to Vermont.

I lost my championship team (Georgetown) in the first night and the runner up (Nova) on the third one, and I think I only have 3 of my elite 8 left. At least I gave myself a proper name for the tournament picks.

Those of us in MVC country aren't surprised as much re UNI. We knew how good they are. Didn't think they'd beat Kansas but thought it would be close.
And I didn't get the BYU over K-State love. K-State plays defense and can make up for an off shooting night. And they just saw the Jayhawks lose to UNI right before they took the floor, a team they lost 3 games to during the Big 12 season. Pullen said he wanted to make sure that didn't happen to them (K-State).
Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

Just to state for the record:
- There's only been one matchup ever between Kentucky & Cornell prior to this, and it was won by the Big Red.
- Kentucky is 0-3 in games played in the Carrier Dome, site of the East Regional.
The way things are going, seeing Cornell in the Elite Eight is far from a pipe dream.
smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; June 18, 2006) While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.
Gotta agree there. It seems that the ESPN people are the only ones putting up a fuss about LeBron not making it. Considering they've been hyping him and showing him play before he got out of high school, it's not surprising.
