| #1 Posted on 14.11.02 2134.30 | Very "eh" for me. Neat to see Tommy and Rey, but the kidz were just on another level of uninteresting tonight.
Please don't act like Rey taking the mask off is a big deal. He wrestled with it off for two years in WCW.
The guy saying that he wanted to wrestle a "high flying style" that would "get him noticed" was hillarious. He's got no clue.
Later, Rebekah...Hope things work with your mom, but I'm glad you're moral superiority complex is gone.
Like I said though...Very "eh" week by the contestants. The only things that struck me were Scott taking a cane shot and Al and Rey's little mini-match.
Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)
Vikings (2-7) - I don't know. I didn't see it. Just saw that we lost. Badgers (6-5) - Slipping into mediocrity six weeks in a row. Buffy 7.Uhh Whatever this last one was earns a 7.00000314159 because the begining was terrible, but the meat of the episode was hillarious. But filler. | #2 Posted on 14.11.02 2156.18 | | Tommy Dreamer made the show completely worthwhile for me. I've always enjoyed him in the ring, but haven't done much in the way of looking at his life outside of the ring. He jumped up quite a few notched in my eyes after his speech about his Dad. | spf

| #3 Posted on 14.11.02 2337.12 | Once again, my hero Scott survives to live another week. I and my non-wrestling fan sister and mother who have gotten hooked on this show are all officially on the Scott bandwagon, and will be gravely disappointed should he ever be cut.
One other thought, how funny was it after Rebekah left (and good riddance!) that suddenly EVERYONE seemed to be trying to keep Jaime's spirits up? I guess no one wants there to be only one woman on the show for the final however many weeks. And did they choose the most insane women possible for this season, or did they just get the wrong file and end up with the tapes intended for Real World?

| #4 Posted on 14.11.02 2342.23 | | Tommy Dreamer is great. Every wrestler in those locker rooms should have the same passion and love for the business like his. Remember that match with RVD in MSG when they unified the Hardcore/IC belt? You could tell that he wanted to do nothing more than put his guy over. That's what he has done time and time again in his career. He's completely selfless and this is why he rocks. | tomvejada

| #5 Posted on 15.11.02 0738.38 | Dreamer's speech was good.
I thought that the other contestants were mean when they laughed at Scott after he got caned by Dreamer.
I'm not looking forward to next week's TEIII

| #6 Posted on 15.11.02 0948.55 | You know Big totally sent Rey in to boost Jamie's confidence. How embarassing must it be for him to have these women quitting over non-wrestling stuff? I actually like both remaining girls. I'm just hoping both will be around long enough to make it an interesting rivalry.

Amen. Besides, if he's willing to take off the mask for a bunch of kids he never met before, how much of an "honor" could it be? Strikes me that maybe Rey's looking for ANY excuse to take the friggin' thing off.
[ Reminds me of the Seinfeld where the guy says Elaine is "breathtaking" .... which sounds like a great compliment, until we see that the guy calls EVERYTHING "breathtaking" .... ]
Anyway, Tough Enough totally lost me as a viewer when they chickened out on showing Lisa's breakdown. The cameras were there, and after all, this IS a "reality" show. To not show it is the worst kind of two-faced dishonesty: they not only screwed HER over, but the viewers too. Now THAT"S crap.

| #8 Posted on 15.11.02 0955.46 | Two women won last time, so perhaps two men will win this time. At least I hope so: the remaining women are horrendous. Jamie is butt-ugly and psychotic and Kelly is a big whiny baby who looks too much like Lita.
John and Jonah will win it. If not Jonah, then Matt.

It's not a big deal to us, but I bet you it's a big deal to anyone in TE3 who never saw WCW, or to anyone watching WWE who never saw WCW.
And it certainly looks like a big deal to the average dude watching the show on MTV who has no idea what lucha libre is other than Rey's description of what the mask means when he was addressing the cast. That dude's sitting there going "Hey that's pretty cool they got to see what that guy looks like, they never show his face on Smackdown."
Settle down and let cool shit be cool, damn.

Well, no ....
If he has half a brain, that dude's sitting there going, "If the mask is such a big deal, why is Rey taking it off for a bunch of neurotic, attention-starved, self-centered celebrity sniffers who he never even laid eyes on before he walked in the door two minutes ago?"
The kids on this show are exactly the types who would NEVER, under ANY circumstances, rate seeing Rey without his hood. So having him unmask for them is hardly "cool shit" .... "sick joke" is more like it.

Geez, cynical and jaded much?
Seriously, you need to RELAX. This isn't the cast of the Real World we're talking about, where the point of being on the show is to be a psuedo celebrity and party and fuck each other; these kids (or at least SOME of these kids) are doing this because they love wrestling and want a shot at becoming a wrestler. The ones that just want to be on TV have been shown time and time again to drop out before the show barely even gets going. And hell, 2 of these people (and if any of them look any good, probably more than 2) are going to end up in the WWE. I'd say the fact that they are potentially going to be backstage with Rey on a regular basis rates seeing him without his mask.
The WWE is training them. The WWE wrestlers are the one's teaching them, kicking the crap out of them, and lecturing them on a daily basis; yet to you they are "exactly the types who NEVER, under ANY circumstances, rate seeing Rey without his hood"? Sorry man, but that description fits you and me, not people who are in the ring learning to do what we criticize.
