Yes, they absolutely crushed it. And Cena is none too pleased. I can almost smell the shoot anger from here.

Lance Caterman vs. Chet Chesterfield was another highlight. Shane vs AJ is still happening. I loved the sheep people attacking Orton.

"Maryse is attractive" isn't exactly breaking news, but man, maybe I'm just a sucker for brunettes.

This is such a weird feud. Miz and Maryse are killing it in promos and segments every week, whereas Nikki is the least-likeable face in a long time and Cena barely seems to give a crap about this match. You wonder if his "if I had pull, I'd be facing Undertaker" comment from a few weeks ago wasn't a partial shoot, because really, why the hell isn't Cena wrestling the Undertaker?

The endgame here is apparently Cena proposing to Nikki after the match, though given the strange levels of reality and unreality involved in this angle, I don't know what to believe. If it's an actual proposal, more power to them. If it's a staged proposal and the "characters" are just getting engaged, then it's a little weird given Cena's apparent real-life stance against every getting married again. (And even that might be played up for the sake of Total Divas.)

George Michael weighed his options. Maeby had chastised him for not taking risks, and what would be a bigger risk than perpetuating a lie about software just to ignite the passions of a woman? Of course it would be a lie, and since Maeby wouldn't know it was a lie, he wouldn't appear to be taking a risk. Perhaps the bigger risk was to tell his father he was lying, that he came up with it because he wanted his father to leave so he could enjoy what remained of his senior year. After all, he wondered, wouldn't that be the course of action taken by an overtly sexual man, a man who owns a pair of matador pants? He had not responded now for 41 seconds according to his unfailing internal clock, and it was time to come clean.

The only good that might come from a proposal is if it results in WWE replaying this scene at some point:

Part 2 had a few more "John Cena Recognize" transitions than what's being shown in the YT version...Bull S*** indeed.

If we don't see "Daniel Bryan" or Nicole's third strike next week, the whole thing's a failure.

Maryse corpsing at the "it's to scale" line was adorable

Does anyone here watch Total Bellas or Total Divas? Did he actually have silly "house rules" on the show?

Watched the first few seasons and yes, he did.
I don't remember details but when she moved in, it was revealed that he had some very interesting quirks.

From what I remember, it was a Sheldon-esque roommate agreement in both size and scope. I get it from his perspective, to a point; he's John Cena. There's no such thing as "too careful". But man, that really has to create serious trust issues within the relationship.

Miz and Maryse hit all the little things "Perfect!" I've only seen about 40 minutes total of Total Divas/Bellas, and a good chunk of that is just the promotional stuff WWE airs, but even I could tell how on point that stuff was. Maryse absolutely nailed Nikki's "move my hair away from my cleavage" move, which Nikki actually does almost as frequently as Maryse did in her bit, but my favorite part was Miz doing Cena's weird face-touching thing that he does to Nikki. I get the impression that John's just super uncomfortable with PDA, and the face touching thing is how he compromises, but it is so weird, and I was delighted to see that Miz got it into the bit.

Ultimately, though, if they want anybody to really invest in this feud, Miz and Maryse have to leave Cena and Nikki laying next week. Cena's absolute refusal to put the Miz over in even the slightest way (aside: I like John Cena an awful lot, but his utter contempt for the Miz every time they've ever worked together is one of the most damning things about him professionally) means we need some extra booking to seal the deal.

I think he had some kind of insane 1920's Gatsby-esque rule about everyone having to dress formally for dinner and afterwards the men had to join him for cigars and brandy while the women have to retreat to the drawing room for port or some shit.

EDIT: Yes! And they're even more batshit crazy than I thought!

Wow, that's ... impressive. And Nikki saying she had to sign a contract just to live in the house? Wow.

Was Johnny Ace living with him too? I didn't recognize the other couple at all.

Johnny Ace is married to Nikki & Brie's mother. I assume the other guy is their brother.
