They don't know how to cover him... generally, I think they media was far more ready to cover a candidate like Kerry, Gephardt, or Lieberman than were someone like Dean. But Dean's personality is a bit more unconverntional.
And typically, the media is really bad at making ideological distinctions outside of party lines.
It's not just some company, it's his family business. And it's not the fact that he knew or didn't know about the fraud, it's the fact that he took a leading role in legislation that was a clear conflict of interest.
