Just wondering what you all think...and how muck crack these people are on to put Final Fantasy anywhere on this list....plus, I'd personally rank Aladdin over The Lion King (mostly because I like the former's musical numbers better).

Transformers made the list? Woo & Hoo! Though I'm not sure I'd rank it above Ninja Scroll...

Toy Story at #1, while Akira is at #20? To each his own, I suppose, but ignore this list I shall.

Good lord they were being generous with the Iron Giant in the top 50.
Although I would have figured they'd place Toy Story 2, usually considered the better of the 2, at number one. Or Beauty and The Beast, the Best Picture Oscar nominee.
Oh well, working for Disney, of course I'd support our movies over others.

I'd take Lion King over all other traditional Disney animated movies except Snow White.

I don't think that the animated Akira is all that great...yeah, it was groundbreaking or whatever, but compared to the manga it's crap.

Heck, I'm just glad Akira made the list...usually any discussion of best animated films always leans towards disney, so nice to see Anime gettin' some love. And this is from someone who doesn't think Akira is necessarily the best Anime film (as countless fanboys and hype would have one believe).

44 disney films? That's going far overboard, not EVERY disney animated movie is a 'classic' or even really all that good. Fantasia 2000 was utter shit, yet it's on that list over Mad Monster Party and The Last Unicorn? Bull shit.

Then there is all the stuff that's influential and just plain BETTER then what's on there, yet missing completely:

Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer
Rock and Rule
American Pop
Dagger of Kamui
Cool World
American Tail 2
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
All Dogs Go To Heaven
Vampire Hunter D

How is Vampire Hunter D NOT in the top 10?

Then there's the placement, what were they thinking putting Fire and Ice and The Last Unicorn so LOW on the list?

Well, THAT'S what you get when you listen to ONLINE film critics, I guess.

I enjoyed Iron Giant, but definitely too high. Don't think Roger Rabbit and Southpark should be anywhere near the top either.

I like the Brave Little Toaster as a kid, so I would rate it higher.

Black Cauldron is one of my favorites, I wouldn't put it a lot higher.

If Transformers: The Movie can get in the 60s then GI Joe: The Movie should've atleast made the top 100.

I personally liked Robin Hood more than the other traditional Disney movies.

And lastly, Lord of the Rings?? Sure the movies are great but the animated movie was crap. And what's even worse is they left off the Hobbit which was actually good.

Let me get this straight...

No "Castle of Cagliostro." No "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind." But...

94. Bebe's Kids (1992)

I DECLARE SHENANIGANS!

This list is complete bullshit. The fact that crap movies like Final Fantasy and spirit are on the list proves it. Bebe's Kids? Treasure fucking Planet? Can someone please tell my why Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Cowboy Bebop, Vampire Hunter D, even fricking SPRIGGAN are nowhere on this list? Where's Princess Mononoke? Hell, the damn escaflowne movie was better than almost half of the crap on this list. Even Space Jam, and that's saying a whole damn lot.

Princess Mononoke did make the list, at a low 16, but then again, these people put Metropolis at 54, ranked behind such 'luminaries' as Mulan & The hunchback of Notre Dame (sigh).

Not everyone cares about Anime you know. It isn't all "great" either.
And while I don't think "Bebe's Kids" is a good movie by any stretch of the imagination, you'd be hard pressed to find many other all African American, main stream (at the time) animated films. I would assume it is on the list for that significant reason alone.

Like any genre it has it's masterpieces and its "I'm a Celebrity..."

The list is crap. The Iron Giant was a good movie, but its copout ending is another example of Americans failing to emulate Japan.

Bloodlust is better than the original in all respects.

Toy Story 2, is also better then Toy Story.

Though it was nice to see them have the balls to give the South Park movie its props as the best candy delivered in a crude wrapper of all time.

Where's the love for Charlotte's Web (32) and The Last Unicorn (96), and Snoopy Come Home (64)?

What's Song of the South doing on the list? They never released that one on video in the U.S. because it was from Uncle Remus' tales and Disney thought it might not get a good reaction.

Omissions:

Was Pinocchio on the list? Don't remember seeing it.

The Magic Pony: Was The Age of Aquarius played in this movie?

Black Beauty: Out of all three versions of Black Beauty that were films that I've seen, the animated version puts 'em all to shame.

Care Bears: The Movie

How the heck is bebe's kids mainstream? Did that movie make any money at all? is race really a factor at all? Does Aladdin count as the first mainstream Arab peoples animated movie?

I could also argue that the cowboy bebop is film noir, not anime. Anime isn't exactly its own genre. It's true anime isn't "all that great." But I can name quite a few anime movies that were released in the states theatrically that were better than most of the oxtail soup on that list.

I'm going to let it slide that Cowboy Bebop wasn't on the list because it hasn't been released here yet. What's worse its only got 18 theatre openings on april 4th
Well, I was able to figure out one good thing about the list. Osmosis Jones is NOT on it. That must be the first mainstream american organ/tissue/body movie. I don't think body wars counts.

Bebe's Kids was made for less then a million and made $8,284,881 at the box office during it's 4 week run. It was then shown exclusively on BET for 1 year, and moved over to HBO and it's channels. BET supposedly paid a surprising 1.3 million for the rights for that year. Going back through the ratings charts in Broadcasting and Cable magazine during that time, it was shown 7 times during that year and 5 of those times, it was ranked in the top 20. 3 times at the #1 spot for it's time slot. Additionally, it has made well over $30million on video.

I would say Bebe's Kids has made money.

I'd still rank Coonskin (Street Fight) higher though, just because Barry White and Scatman Cruthers did voices for it and it was mad 2 decades earlier.
