From the desk of Swordsman Yen
I've heard that Tony Gonzalez is attempting to be the next two-sport athlete by trying out for the Miami Heat. Is this true and does anybody have an idea how good Tony is as a basketball player? (Edit: not really sure if this belonged in basketball or football)

He was quite an accomlished player for Cal while he was there, so it wouldn't surprise me if he tried it...

From ESPN:

In college Gonzalez averaged 6.4 points and 4.3 rebounds over three seasons.

"There aren't a lot of openings for 6-5 power forwards in the NBA," Marty Blake, the NBA's director of scouting, told the Star. "But if he wants to do it and somebody's willing to give him a chance, God bless."

Marge: Mr. Scorpio, this house is almost too good for us. I keep expecting to get the bums rush.
Scorpio: We don't have bums in our town, Marge, and if we did, they wouldn't rush, they'd be allowed to go at their own pace.

They put up tons of yards but it was screwed by tons of turnovers, and those aren't really on the offensive coordinator.
