Not only that but they look high ranking...possibly working for the government. Does this plot go deeper than we think? Was Secretary Heller in on this with his Son in Law?
I'm digging Tony's sort of redemption this season and Jack's trust in Tony. I just hope it doesn't bite Jack in the back side later on. So at about season's half way point, they might be able to prevent the reactor melt down, but they still have the rich white guys to deal with.

With the 90 second "previously on" recap included, this show has been clocking in at:
42:00 minutes!
The average show is normally 48:00 minutes, and I know with this being one of FOX's most popular shows that it probably has one of the network's highest ad rates. But jamming in 6 minutes of additional commercials every week lets me peek in on RAW a little more often. Not a real plus as of late though.
On tonight's show:
Curtis's decision to use a two man security detail for a high level terrorist conspiritor seems a tad lax. WTF!
Tony redeeming himself (for the time being) is the most satisfying storyline of the season.
Looking forward to Jack's interrogation of Paul. It should prove very civilized...the Dom's on ice!

Easy, he wants to scare the American people into a sense of unity and pride and (most importantly) blind support of their country's government.

I was thinking the same thing about the thumb especially because they took thumb prints from a severed hand on CSI recently. I guess Curtis isn't enough of a bad ass to think of something like that.
Also, Aisha Tyler dieing wasn't a huge surprise because she was back in her role on CSI this week.

Stop ripping me off from the other magical 24 thread.
They would've still been screwed because of the extra password she was surprised at. I think they should've just sent up a unit to pick up the computer (it was explicitily not networked, so it'd still have worked elsewhere) instead of letting a sabotuer wander around, but I'm no DoD dude.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing myself. In fact, if I remember correctly, Jack did something like that in the first few hours of the first season.
Other than that skip in logic, the whole scene where Curtis has his run-in with Whitey McWhiteguy was great. Curtis just got a whole hell of a lot more interesting, even if it is by being a victim. My only gripe - this was two weeks in a row where they used the split-screen (my favorite visual trick on this show) and focused one part of it completely on a dead body (Marianne). They did this last week with Naseem, too. What gives? The whole appeal of the split screen is to show different aspects of one disaster and how they affect - or do not affect - different people. Showing a dead body really doesn't do much.
It looks as if Sarah is parlaying her victimhood into a two-grade promotion. Does this mean she will outrank Edgar? I hope not. Speaking of Edgar, I keep waiting for him to get his own close-up in the "previously" section at the top of the hour - except instead of "Edgar Stiles," it will just say "Edgar." Oh, man, that would kick ass.
I'm not sure that next week's interrogation will be that pleasant. I'm sure we'll get a big "you're nailing my wife and now you're torturing me" vibe from Paul..hell, who wouldn't be pissed? If Paul doesn't know anything, though, we're looking at THREE people tortured this season for pretty much no reason.
I thought that highlighting the showdown between Navi and Jack during the first fifteen minutes was a great payoff. I really didn't want to wait too long to see this resolved. I know that Navi had to keep Behrooz alive and all, but Jack's not the type to just sit on his ass and wait for things to happen.
Tony pretty much kicks ass, although that scar near his ear hardly looks like a gunshot wound. Sorry, had to be said. I love how Heller asks for his reinstatement solely on Jack's word. If only everyone would follow his example and trust the guy who saved the world at least three times already, this show would be called "6" or something, and everything would be taken care of much quicker. :)

Yeah, Jack killed someone and then cut his finger off, scanned it on a palm pilot, and sent it to CTU to be matched against existing prints. Cause he's just that good.
Behrooz is a fairly sympathetic character, but man is that kid a horrible actor.
I watched the Season One DVD this weekend, and I believe that Jack's catch-all catchphrase is "You're just gonna have to trust me." I love that line.
And isn't it great that not ten hours ago Jack wasn't working for CTU, an now not only does he have his job back, but Tony has been reinstated? That's pretty awesome.
Curtis struggles, but at least we get to see if he, too, is awesome or not.
I don't buy into the conspiracy theories with the Prez or the SoD. The Prez has been a virtual nonfactor this season beyond making sure that his immunity letters are non-binding, and the secretary went hog wild on those terrorists inside the warehouse. Stranger things have happened, though.
