WWE.com has put up a story that Tomko has agreed his mutual release. In his interview he sounds quite positive about a return in the future, and sees wrestling in Japan as a way to improve his skills.
I say Good Luck, although not a great wrestler Tomko was moderately entertaining, especially when paired with Christian.
Best memory of him, at Royal Rumble '05, when Christian tried to prove he could rap:-
"Britain, Britain, Britain, land of technological achievement. We’ve had running water for over 10 years, an underground tunnel that links us to Peru and we invented the cat. But none of these inventions would have been possible if it had not been for the people of Britain and it’s those people we look at today.
Near the end of his run, was he still using the chest kick as a finisher? I remember when he demolished Hurricane and Rosey with it during his teenie-weenie RAW shoot-fighter push.
I shall miss the way he and Snitsky grew identical soul goatees.

Speaking of Snitsky, sounds like he & Goldust are going to become a tag team, based on the whole "freaks" thing.

I know!!! I can't wait to see them in action. I was saying while I was watching WM that the entire scene backstage with Booker and Sharmell meeting the freaks was one of the highlights and that these guys should have their own show.... Sure 'nuff....
After Christian got drafted to SmackDown and Tyson Tomko remained on RAW, Tomko really had nothing to do that was particularly interesting. Sure he won a few tag-team matches with Snitsky as his partner, and even got a tag-team title shot, but... bah.
Anyhoo... I wish Tyson Tomko well in his future endeavors.

Do you guys really like these marginal people, or do you feel obligated to say something nice because they're released? I'm just surprised than anyone cares about Tyson Tomko, but this happens in every thread about the Roseys and the Tomkos of the world.
Besides, if the guy wants to improve his stock in the WWE, why go to Japan? That's not where he's going to learn how to cut a promo, which is 99% of what goes into making a top WWE star. He can go to Japan and become one of the finest wrestlers in the world and maybe in 10 years someone in the WWE will notice.
Tyson Tomko said more in his interview on WWE.com than he probably did throughout his entire tenure with the company. I found that to be kind of interesting.
I'm wondering whether the Wellness program from the 'E is one of the reasons he requested his release.

Oh good, I was hoping someone would say this EVERY SINGLE TIME SOMEONE LEAVES.
Seriously, you could have stuck to one post in this thread, although even there you make a claim that he was the bettor's choice to be included in the next round of cuts (not that one's been announced or is imminent, but) and I find that somewhat dubious as well.
I'm not trying to be snarky, but I was not aware Tomko was still with the company. I thought he got released a few months ago. Huh! I wonder who got cut that I confused him with. Heidenreich?
Seconded. I actually checked the Superstars page on Monday to see if he was still on it, as he had effectively vanished from TV and I thought I may have missed his release when it happened.
In all seriousness, are people actually counting this as yet another case of The Evil Empire derailing a man's career?
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow
