Well, I don't like Tom Green, but I give him credit for actually showing up at the Razzies to accept all the "accolates" for Freddy Got Fingered.
Alas, Mariah Carey didn't show up.
"The best reason for committing loathsome & detestable acts -and let's face it, I am considerably something of an expert in the field - is purely for their own sake. Monetary gain is all very well, but it dilutes the tastes of wickedness to a lower level that is obtainable by anyone will an overdeveloped sense of avarice. True and baseless evil is as rare as the purest good - and we all know how rare THAT is." - Acheron Hades, THE EYRE AFFAIR by Jaspar Fforde
I remember when Tom used to be on CHUO (or CKCU - whichever university's campus he used to do his radio show with Glen) and one night in particular...
He said he and Glen were hungry and were headed out to eat and some listener was required to take over the show. Some 12 year old girl headed down to the station - and they told her since she didn't know how to run the board she wasn't allowed to touch any of the buttons. She had to sit and TALK non stop (no dead air allowed) for over an hour while they went out and ate.
Absolutely hilarious and sad at the same time... Had to have been heard to be believed.
Ah, the Razzies...rewarding failure...just like the NHL's overtime loss rule...
Holden: Judging by the buzz, that movie's gonna make some serious bank. Jay: What buzz? Holden: The internet buzz. Jay: What the f*ck is the internet? [Holden (Ben Affleck) & Jay (Jason Mewes) in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back]
I always thought it was obvious that Spike died. But I see how it can be up to interpretation. What happened to the rest of the crew at the end? Unless I'm mistaken, Spike left Faye and Jet on the Bebop, and Ein went home with Edward.
