Yeah, sports radio just said that apparently the EMT's had to take 2 or 3 more pills out of TO's fingers as he was trying to ingest more with them standing in front of them. Just nuts.

Quote: "The worker (EMT) observed Mr. Owens putting two pills into his mouth and swallowing, at which time, the worker attempted to pry the pills out of his m outh. Failing, the worker pried two more pills out of Mr. Owens fingers. The worker then asked Mr. Owens if he was trying to hurt himself, to which he replied 'Yeah.'"

This was just reported on KFAN/PA & Dubay by Paul Allen.

Poor guy. I hope he can get through his troubles and come back to play the game he loves. It's tragic when someone's life is going so bad - and have so much going against them -that they need to result to suicide as a last grasp for attention

I think if we had only been more understanding during his times of need, T.O wouldn't have tried to put himself out of his misery. The blame lies totally upon the media. THEY drove him to this. All the guy has wanted to do is keep his mouth shut and catch a ball.

The shame and guilt I'm feeling is indescribable at the moment. All the best T.O. Sorry that we drove you to this

I'm glad I didn't have him on my fantasy team.

Honestly, T.O. has always been unstable, but again...if someone performs at a high level, we ignore their problems.

He burned his way out of San Francisco and Philly, yet the Cowboys ponied up for the money.

He needs emotional help clearly.

The signs have been there the whole time.

That's hilarious; it's really easy to kick a guy when he's down...

Yes, TO is a jerk. Yes, he's selfish and a bad teammate. It still doesn't mean you mock him after he tries to commit suicide. Imagine what it takes to come to the point where you see no other choice but to end your life. How sad is that?

But it's real easy to sit behind a keyboard and post a sarcastic message about a guy who just tried to end it all. Because he acted like an asshole and because you (apparently) don't like him. Way to go.

But whatever, if that's your reaction, that's your reaction. Myself, I feel bad for the guy. I didn't always like him as a person, but I think it was always obvious there was a lot of insecurity there. I wish he had tried to find an answer other than this....

As if we didn't hear enough about him already...

I never saw this coming. I thought T.O. was too much in love with himself to do something like this. I'm being totally serious about that. His ego is legendary.

But, I've seen what depression can do to people. I've been in a psych ward with one of my best friends after she tried pretty much the same thing as he did. So, I do have sympathy for the guy. I just don't want to hear about him every single time I turn on ESPN.

Some are easier than others

Trust me - I don't wish death upon anyone. Well, except Piper. Again - it's not like the guy has NOTHING going for him. He needs attention, which is all an "attempted" suicide is. If he was serious he would have used a gun. Pills are for amateurs. And NOTHING is more selfish than suicide

But it's real easy to sit behind a keyboard and post a sarcastic message about a guy who just tried to end it all. Because he acted like an asshole and because you (apparently) don't like him. Way to go.

You bet it is...He "TRIED"!. HA! But not *really* or he would have succeeded. And I forgot to mention the prick has ruined my trip to Philly for the Dallas game.

But whatever, if that's your reaction, that's your reaction. Myself, I feel bad for the guy. I didn't always like him as a person, but I think it was always obvious there was a lot of insecurity there. I wish he had tried to find an answer other than this....

Like maybe shut the fuck up, quit the bullshit and play football. If anyone feels bad, or any real pity at all for T.O., that's human nature. I'm thinking he doesn't deserve any sympathy whatsoever, but that's my opinion

Speaking of sympathetic. Yep - T.O.'s a simp, and he's certainly pathetic

A more appropriate way out would be to throw HIMSELF under a bus. That's T.O's normal M.O.

So all cries for attention are a bad thing? Sure, it's easy to look at his past and say this is a publicity stunt, but to this extreme? That seems pretty unlikely to me. Sometimes cries for attention are cries for help. And, again, I think it's sad that someone with (apparently) so much going for him couldn't find a better way to voice that. How unhappy do you have to be to even TRY to commit suicide?

But like you said, you have your opinion, you don't have sympathy for him and that's your perogative. I'm probably being too sympathetic. But I'd rather be too sympathetic than too cynical any day.....

What, soaking up media attention and an NFL owner's cash while sitting around doing nothing?

If anything, having to play would be this bum's troubles.

Hold nothing sacred and you'll never be dissapointed. Especially not this statement.

I felt bad about thinking "he must have drafted Daunte Culpepper and Shaun Alexander for his fantasy team". Thanks FLEA.

(Seriously, get well soon, Terrell. That character "T.O." can go and die and I'll have no problem if we never speak of him again, but I hope the guy who Mr. and Mrs. Owens call their son ends up fine.)

A pretty comprehensive report, plus a link to T.O video
Whether you belive the accidental mixing of pills or not, I don't think a guy who tried to kill himself goes to practice the next day.
