...could you please point me to some resource that lists exactly what the United States sold to Iraq before, during, and after it's conflict with Iran? It seems to be a popular point of debate among the left, yet I never hear weapons or MSD's named when it's used. I'd just like to know whether this point is valid...

I posted several links in the first page of the "Can we go after France next" thread, including two to recently declassified reports from a congressional hearing on chemical weapons that we'd sold to Iraq and the possibility that they were used during the Gulf War.

There's plenty more where they came from.

There's no speculation. The hard facts are easy to nail down, because they're a matter of record.

The CDC sent the Iraqi government anthrax, botulism, gangrene, and the West Nile Virus.

There's a whole laundry list of companies who sold materials for making missles (with our government's approval) to Iraq's nuclear weapons R & D people.

I've already posted links to the Riegle report, which discussed the effects of the chem/bio weapons we'd sold Iraq.

We also sent them samples of a mustard-gas like chemical weapon, as well as sixty tons of one of the components of sarin nerve gas..

I assume this is what you're talking about...I didn't find any links to any websites...can you direct me to where this came from?

I'm trying to get the fact straight...I constantly hear this argument and I want to know if it's true or not...I genuinely consider myself somewhat independent, and would like to explore the validity of both sides...

Edit: I found the Reigel report you're referring to...

Godking did all the hard work for me already. GOD I love it when that happens! Thanks! (:

Like I said, there's plenty more where I got those from, but some of them are fairly spurious... I tried to pick the least crack-pot-y articles, and the ones with a bit of meat to them.

OK, I'll rephrase my initial point. Compare the number of gun related deaths injuries per 1000 head of poulation and the UK and the US. You guys are so far ahead (if thats the right word) of us its not even funny.
