| #1 Posted on 15.5.03 1303.39 | I have been busy on Wednesday nights and have not been able to catch any TNA-NWA. Last night was my initiation. I saw the program from Disco-Saturn to the end. Here are a few impressions. If you are going to charge $10 to watch wrestling at home, you’ve got to do better than Glen Gilberti vs. Saturn (unless he’s going to drop an elbow from a scaffold.) When did Disco start using the diamond cutter? Mike Tenay has aged 15 years since I’ve last seen him, and considering what he’s sat thru the past year, I understand. If you’re going to have a ring announcer that looks like a tanned Jimmy Lennon Jr., then why not turn it into a gimmick. Maybe I missed the good stuff, but the in-ring action isn’t all that hot either.

Yeah his finisher in WCW was a Stone Cold Stunner not a Diamond Cutter. Not sure if his finisher is still the same thing since I haven't seen any of his TNA matches. Also I think the move was called the Chart Buster at one point.

| #5 Posted on 19.5.03 1340.34 | He still is using a stunner as his finisher. And this was not a good week for a newbie to jump in I have to say. If you've been watching every week then the massive amount of Gilberti on screen makes some sense. But if you haven't watched it and all of a sudden Disco Inferno is everywhere, well I can see why it would look bad. Though I really did enjoy the Styles/D-lo vs. XXX match this week, and would love to see them go again with about 10 more minutes to work with.
and maybe I should open up my sensitive side/but really, the sensitive side sucks./I've been there./You can only imagine the kinds of sweaters they make you wear.

| #6 Posted on 19.5.03 1618.17 | Last show, in the Gilberti / Saturn match, Glen used a diamond cutter first, and then a stunner soon after that to get the pin.
As a die-hard WCW fan, I've always kinda liked Disco, and even I have to say that last show was a bit too much for me. I realize that the endless SEX interference is supposedly going somewhere (i.e., toward the appointment of a new "authority figure" who will slap SEX down), but it got really pretty tiresome.
On the plus side, AJ & D'Lo are a way better team than I would have ever imagined they'd be, and right now rank second (behind XXX) on my "favorite active tag team" list. I especially appreciate all the double team moves they're doing.

I think that was his finisher when he came in, until WCW re-re-re-re-re-reincarnated Ed Leslie as "The Disciple," and stuck him with the nWo. They gave him that finisher, and called it "The Apocalypse"...I think. During that period, Disco used a plain ol' piledriver as his finisher. I wanna say that was called the "Ratings Spike," but that might've just been my name for it. :-)
Eventually, after Leslie left, WCW allowed Disco to use the Chartbuster again. I think that's how he beat Psychosis (sans mask...SHAME!) for the Cruiserweight title in '99 or '00.
The Disco Inferno of old was the most damn entertaining thing I've ever seen in wrestling.
