I have a friend who is ordering this show, so I will see a TNA for the second time this year after Lockdown (must be a record for me). Shows looks like a real mixed bag, but it might be fun.
Sting over Mr. Anderson Jeff Jarrett over Kurt Angle Abyss over the X-jobbers British Invasion over Gun Money Mickie James over Angelina Love via DQ AJ Styles over Bully Ray after D-Von-terference Crimson over Samoa Joe Matt Morgan over Scott Steiner
"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Anderson vs. Champion Sting I love that most of the buildup for this match has centered around either Hulk Hogan (who has no bearing on this match whatsoever) or 90's castoffs from Sting's "past". Because nothing says "Sting's past" like DISCO INFERNO! Sting retains.
THE FINAL BATTLE Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle Winner of this is supposed to get a title shot and they seem to be really insistent on having Hogan and Bischoff inserted into the title feud in some capacity, meaning one of their guys would have to be the opponent. That means Jarrett's going to beat Kurt for the umpteenth time. Jarrett wins.
X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Kendrick vs. Champion Abyss vs. Kazarian Abyss as X Division champion is colossally stupid. He retains anyway.
TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS British Invasion vs. Champions James Storm & Alex Shelley The British Invasion is still around? Have they even wrestled on TV lately? Storm and Shelley win and move on to face the Mexicans.
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP Angelina Love vs. Champion Mickie James I don't remember, nor do I care, if they turned Angelina heel again. Mickie retains.
LAST MAN STANDING Bully Ray vs. AJ Styles AJ is still the heart and soul of the promotion and is the most reliable guy on the roster for good matches. AJ wins.
Crimson vs. Samoa Joe Joe deserves so much better than this, but he's pretty much irreparably damaged. Crimson wins.
Matt Morgan vs. Scott Steiner I have no clue why these two are wrestling. This ends in a No Contest.
While we have just completed the entire run of sometimes great, sometimes awful, but never dull WCW programming in 1996, it’s easy to forget there was still another game in town. Over at Titan Towers, things were not promising.
