Spoilers seem to indicate one more cut, and the reasoning came out of, quite simply, nowhere.

I don't read spoilers, but I saw the one related to Petey; if that's the one you mean, I'm not sure that you're accurate: Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read

I *think* is how that works. I haven't looked for spoilers, but that's one thing I saw mentioned. (Apologies if this breaks the "no spoiler" rule -- I just didn't want to jump ahead based on rumor.)
As for Petey, it's too bad if true. I am suspicious of cuts that align too neatly with storylines, so we'll see. TNA's like the Boy Who Cried Wolf sometimes.
Hoyt is a bit of a shame, too -- I thought the R'n'R Infection was fun, and I always thought that they could have used Hoyt in the X Division to reinforce the "it's not about weight limits" idea.
Well, if (more!) rumors are to be believed, they need to clear up some roster space for Stevie Richards -- another 40-ish ex-WWEer. So yay.

Oh, and definately: Petey in ECW would kick ass.

I was thinking that Trevor Murdoch used this at least once on RAW. And then I remember he seemed to hurt Matt Hardy when it went awry.
So, yeah. It's probably verboten.

The ones I saw said
TNA Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc. cut a promo in the ring, saying they have issued an open challenge to anyone for their titles. The stipulation being if Beer Money wins, the losing ***team*** must leave TNA for good and they can't comeback wearing a mask or in any other role for the company.
...
* Beer Money, Inc. b. Team Canada (Eric Young & Petey Williams) to retain when Robert Roode pinned Petey Williams. As a result, Young and Williams have to leave TNA. After the match, the crowd gives an emotional Petey Williams and Eric Young a standing ovation. |
Petey would seem to have some wellness issues to clear up before getting in to WWE. Also, he'd still be not the size they'd want. If he continues, he's probably looking at more of a ROH-type arch.

Trevor Murdoch never did a Canadian Destroyer. He used the Code Red - similar idea, but you start in a slightly different position (legs on the other side of the victim's arms) and flip into a sunset flip position. Melina uses it now as the Last Call, or at least I think that's what Lawler called it.
And yeah, there's no way Petey would get to do a Canadian Destroyer in WWE. I can't even remember the last time there was a plain ol' piledriver. Lawler sometime, maybe?

Jimmy Rave is no surprise. I'd like to think that they're gutting the X Division in preparation for an overhaul and refocusing, but the direction of the MEM storyline has pretty much beaten such optimism out of me.

I believe WM23. HBK hit one on Cena outside the ring.

I'm not too sure. I think if you can get it across management that you can do a certain signature move safely by doing it over and over (like Evan Bourne and the SSP), maybe they'll let you use it. And WWE would be boneheaded if they sign up Petey and THEN blow the chance of having the Canadian Destroyer on WWE television week in and week out.

I just can't see WWE being that interested in him, other than as a curtain jerker. That's why I am sorry to see him leave TNA.
