Hopefully it's ok to post this as I didn't see anyone else doing it. I don't want to step on anyones toes. For most of this show, I pretty much forgot I was watching due to how spectacularly boring it was.

Q&D Results:
-Before the event started, a tribute to 9/11 was aired (that was surprisingly class given that it's Russo)
-Jesse Sorensen def. Kid Kash to become the #1 Contender
-Bully Ray def. James Storm via DQ
-Winter def. Mickie James
-Mexican America def. Dinero & Devon
-Matt Morgan def. Samoa Joe
-Bobby Roode def. Gunner via Submission
-Austin Aries def. Brian Kendrick
-Bobby Roode def. Bully Ray to become the #1 Contender (Eric Bischoff came out after Roode vs. Gunner and announced that the finals would take place tonight)
-Kurt Angle def. Sting and Mr. Anderson

If you missed it, you didn't miss much - it was a fairly week night with a horrible lethargic crowd.

Three matches (Winter/Mickie, Angle/Sting/Anderson, and Storm/Ray) ended with someone spitting something into someone's face.

The Storm and Ray had an absolutely absurd ending when Storm went to spit beer only to have Ray duck and hit Jackson James instead, who then called for the DQ (ignoring all the other times that he's done that and not had a DQ called).

The main event ended with Hogan macing Sting, which caused the crowd to chant for Hogan, despite Sting being the face and Hogan being the heel. My head hurts.

Gunner cut a promo and reminded everyone that he should never be allowed to talk again.

Anderson swore a lot and called Bischoff "Bitch-off", because he's so clever.

The Knockout's championship gets flip-flopped.. again. Following the theme of the show, Mickie opted for the Wonder Woman outfit rather then her country look.

Sorensen is absolutely boring but is the new number one contender for the X-Division championship.

An honest question from somebody who has never watched TNA:
Has a main event ever not involved interference/shenanigans/over-booking?

Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.
Harry: That's a special feeling.

Very few - but there are times.

I believe Destination X's Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles main event was pretty straight forward.

They were out of the Zone in the last two Impacts. It didn't (and won't) solve all the problems.

So let me make sure I have this right.

- In the opening segment Rosita is holding the American flag during what sounds like a very tasteful and well-done moment of tribute for 9/11.

- Midway through the show she comes out as Rosita, playing her part in an anti-American/pro-Mexican heel group.

- Near the end of the show she does an interview using her real name and talking about losing her father in 9/11 and how that impacts her to this very day.

I remember someone once saying something akin to a Vince Russo booked show is like if midway through Jurassic Park they suddenly showed the actors running in front of a green screen from a guy holding a tennis ball on a fishing line. This really is the epitome of it. They might as well say "Thea Trinidad is a nice young lady who suffered a terrible loss on 9/11, but please do boo her while she's hanging out with these other cheating hooligans who are all pretending to hate America. Thank you for your cooperation."

The interview was pretty good, actually, but - yeah - it was just absolutely absurd, given that we just had seen her as part of Mexican America. I don't see why they couldn't have either directed the views to the website and showed the clip there or just showed footage of her appearance on the Dateline or Today or whichever show she was on earlier.

Also, we won't even go in to the fact that she ended up in the ring getting "spanked" on the same day that she gave a heartfelt interview about losing her father in 9/11.

Didn't see the ppv but heard Aries-Kendrick and Roode-Bully Ray were really good matches and Joe-Morgan wasn't bad, but the rest of the ppv stunk to high heaven. Joe being built up a bad ass killer for a few weeks and then jobbing to Morgan clean didn't make a lick of sense, but that's par the coarse since Russo returned. He has totally fubar'd Joe's career. As far as the Impact zone yes it's the worst crowd in wrestling history replacing the mutants in the the Ecw arena. TNA went on the road and had a few shows in Alabama and the crowd was lively and the arena looks major league over a studio with ass clowns. That said, the booking is clearly TNA'S biggest issue.

It isn't going to matter anymore. This is what they are advertising for Thursday A sixty-something year old man vs a fifty-two year old in Joker makeup.

Isn't Spike basically carrying the show for next to nothing? What is TNA even getting for buyrates anymore? Wasn't there a minimum at one time that had to be met?

There's a lot of people in this company that I enjoy watching, but I don't enjoy watching them in TNA. I hope they find better things somewhere else, but they ain't ever getting the TNA stank off of TNA.

You know why this is amazing? Because this match marks the FOURTH DECADE IN A ROW we've been treated to Ric Flair vs. Sting.

1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and now 2010s are all marked by Flair vs. Sting matches.

Why ruin a perfect streak?

Could they at least put out a better picture of the guy on the left for people that don't realize Flair is old as grandpa.

The ring announcer, whoever it is in TNA, should announce the match thusly:

"And now, the epic rivalry spanning four decades... At a total combined age of 118 years..."

At least Flair can still slap on a decent figure four.

Sting's Scorpion Deathlock now sees him bend forward at the waist, putting no torque on the opponent's knees and back. It's an elevated knee cradle. He might actually be helping the opponent relax.

They need to put on a product that people care about. re: settings, the ECW arena was good for that.

1) Who is following Gunner on Twitter?
2) Who is following GUNNER on Twitter?

Is there any greater irony than calling out "fat computer marks at home" on TWITTER? That carries about as much weight as if he said it on a message board.

I totally get what you're saying, but it irks me just a little. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I really dislike it when people refer to things like this in that context. I think it was 2001 and I heard about a sports feat where I guy had done something for his "third decade" when it was really from 1989-2001, which was really for 12 years, not 30 as that is what they implied saying "[three] decade[s]". It's probably because I'm a math guy but a decade is 10 years, and 4 decades should be 4 x 10 for 40 years, which seems a bit off.

At least when they made a big deal out of someone living from 1899-2001, they said they lived in PARTS of three centuries. "Parts" being the key word. Maybe

If I'm not mistaken, but the best I could find by Google is that the first Sting/Flair match was in 88 at the 1st Clash of Champions. By that count they are in the third decade, of their 23 year rivalry, in the decades of: 1988-1997, 1998-2007, and 2008-2017.

Batista is fierce, and for a while was making Lesnar look like Albert. I hope WWE gets some sense and gives Batista a good push. If it were up to me Id give him a mouthpiece in AA, who is being wasted. AA is one of the best on the mic ever.
