From wrestlingobserver
The final rating for the first TNA Impact show was .32. That was well above prelim indications and is excellent for the slot.

That actually seems like a great rating to me considering Velocity has recently been getting 0.5s and Heat only normally gets about 1.0. For TNA to be getting a third of what Heat gets at that godawful timeslot is quite an achievement.

I watched it, it wasnt bad. I still dont see the hype about AJ Styles. The show was allright, set up the angles well for people who, like me never ordered the PPVs. I liked the set up, the six sided ring was cool as well. They just need to make me care about the stories a bit better, and I might become a regular viewer.

Thank you for your irrelevant opinion.

That wasn't AJ's best match. But he's the real deal, especially when he's one-on-one with someone who can really go. I'm looking forward to going to see the TNA 2nd Anniversary show live this week because he's got a match for the X title against Kid Kash. That should be the show stealer.

Who did AJ face on that show? Kazarian? If so, don't base your judgment on that match. His PPV match with Kazarian two weeks ago was garbage compared to what AJ's matches usually are. Like Mayhem said, wait until he works with someone decent and I think you'll be impressed.

My big issue with Impact is minimal angle progression. Xplosion is pretty good for that, but not everybody gets Xplosion. Still, I prefer the wrestling-centric presentation of Impact, although every show seems like an special exhibition, rather than a part of the TNA universe.

The rumored AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels feud should be enough to impress.

I'm still waiting for a huge angle to go down to take advantage of the momentary curiosity that newbies still have in the product. There's a REALLY good Raven storyline going down, but it'll likely go nowhere because Sabu's being an idiot. It's a real shame, too, because that's some AWESOME promo work from Raven.

Enjoy the fresh taste of Chavo Classic and New Chavo!

Well crap, looks like Kid Kash broke a leg bone and will be unable to wrestle AJ on Wednesday ... I was really looking forward to the match.

Yeah that sucks. I'd book A.J. vs. Petey Williams as a replacement. That would be a damn good match plus I'd love to see A.J. take the Canadian Destroyer.

But yeah, .32 is great considering Impact is technically an infomercial.

.32 is good, all things considered. However, the real test will be whether or not they can keep the ratings up, as I'm sure a lot of the hardcore wrestling fans were tuning into the first show. Now that the curiosity factor is gone, they need to keep those viewers (and, hopefully, bring in more).

The answer to WWE's financial problems...

Never 'Wiener of the Day', and is actually quite bitter about it.

Triple H/Show was okay; like Steph said, a nice visual through the barricade....Eugene/Shelton was surprisingly short....The Divas match was very wisely kept short, and seemed to exist just so Candice could tout her Playboy cover.
