So, EV 2.0 invaded or something, Fortune responds to their invasion, "They" are still coming, Nash will reveal who's behind . . .whatever it is he and Sting are complaining about (I do hope it's Max Andrews)

Just how many people are invading, subverting, inflitrating, or covertly running TNA, anyways?

Well, those people all got in for free.

It was all their call. They love vacating titles, they love tournaments. The best part is he's booked against Abyss for Bound for Glory, the same show where the finals take place. So he will be back before there's even a new champion.

On the surface I guess it's logical to do Fortune vs. EV2 to build up Fortune for some TNA Frontline-like team of homegrown new guys to take them down. But TNA's storied history of faction warfare (they love it almost as much as they love tournaments), from the Main Event Mafia to Christian Coalition/Angle Alliance to S.E.X. leaves me with zero percent expectations that it will be anything other than a confusing mess that will end with Fortune just kind of randomly disbanding, possibly after feuding with a group of newcomers like Haas & Benjamin, Darren Young, Sim Snuka, and Raymond Rougeau.

So I don't watch TNA a lot but I did catch a little bit last night.

2 Things:

1. Jeff Hardy Looks HORRIBLE, like "If this is you off the dope, maybe we should reconsider this" horrible

and

2. How long has TNA been making Rob Terry their Batista? I mean right down to the Font and logo on his Tights and pose on the ropes before the match

The show was back to the wrong direction after a few good weeks. There is no damn focus right now.

You've got Flair pissed off at Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff. So he recruits Fortune.

Then you've got Sting and Nash who ALSO hate Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff.

Then you've got Jarret defending Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff because he says that they are pushing the young guys. YET the only one who seems to really care about young talent (in kayfabe) is Flair, who is giving a lot of TNA faces a chance in Fortune.

And who are Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff behind? The EV2 guys and RVD, hardly the young future of TNA.

Oh and Abyss ALSO hates Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff but isn't with Fortune or Sting/Nash. So there is apparently a "They" that will be yet another group that is against Dixie, Hogan, and Bischoff.

You poor man! Here in Puritanical America they helpfully blurred it out for the entire segment (which was its own set of annoying). 0 for 1.

    117 stitches
OVER 117 stitches! (Didn't that seem...oddly specific? Like, you couldn't just say 118? Maybe it was 117½.)

Aside: is there any reliable source which has the episode title every week? Usually I scour wrestling websites for recaps and try to find the name of the show but no luck today.
Yeah, you wait a week for Spike to post it online at spike.com and then remind me to go back and change the thread title. I'm sure it'll turn out to be something stupid like "The Show Must - And Will - Go On"

I'm not a fan of angles that strip the champion of a title but if you are going to have a tournament then it has to be a lot better than this. 4 and 5 minute matches does not make the title look very important.

RVD should have just dropped the belt. I say go ahead and give it to Angle. It seem inevitable that he's going to win it so why not go ahead and do it. Plus he can have title matches with guys like Pope, Morgan, Anderson, Lethal etc while RVD, Abyss, Styles etc still do their things in their angles.

TNA is pretty clueless. The passionate "TNA is my house" interview that Styles gave could have been used at least a dozen times in previous angles when AJ was a face. It would have been effective in storylines against Joe, Angle, MEM and a number of other times. Instead they don't let him cut it until now as a heel against a bunch of old broken down wrestlers that look even worse in the ring against Styles?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the biggest swerve of the year: James Storm in a suit! He looked pretty good too. Kaz? Not so much.

I hear people keep saying that Flair's one redeeming quality is his great promos but I don't think he even does that well anymore. Yeah the comment about not taking orders from women was classic but for every classic moment like that he now has about a dozen bad ones. His interjections used to be good but now he just rambles over other people's talking. I felt sorry for Foley trying to get a word in while Flair was doing his crazy man act.

Anyone else thing a natural response for Foley to the "I don't take orders from women" line from Flair should have been "well, we all saw how well that worked out for you with your wife" or is that too soon?

They had to make sure the number was higher than the 108 stitches Dr Death Steve Williams got in the mid 80's and then wrestled again the same night. Now, if RVD had only 107 stitches, he wouldn't have had to vacate his title. Damn those 10 stitches. Damn them to hell.

Is it just me or does TNA seem to have a lot of promos by old guys talking about how the young guys are the future, and they should step aside to give the young guys the spotlight...?

They have to put a huge effort into pixelating Jeff Hardy's hinter-cleavage, but Anderson can come out & announce that he's an "ASSHOLE!". I don't understand.

I didn't notice that (you're right, of course), but I did notice that in the three matches where it was an ex-WWE guy vs. a TNA "homegrown," the WWE guy went over. (The fourth match had two ex-WWE guys.) What would it hurt to let Lethal get into the semis?

Hell, they could have re-created one of the WWF's biggest tournaments ever: The finale to WM4~!

lol. SurSers 98 was better =P

and they might want to do Jeffrey vs Anderson at some point, so Anderson needed to win.

Pretty good RAW imo. Not stellar by any means, but nothing that I can complain about. The Austin beatdown seemed to last forever. I keep asking myself a) when it would end and b) when the rock was coming to save his ass.
