TNA has no title for this episode. Feel free to suggest one.

- It opens with the MEM giving Team 3D another chance to join the Mafia. 3D comes out to tell them that they will be AJ and Joe's partners at Final Resolution. 3D mention how the MEM have "raped" every company they worked for. Hmmm. 3D promises to take the MEM out because they threaten the existence of TNA. They call on TNA-F to appear, and they pop up in the crowd. Pretty neat. But Angle is not impressed, so he and Rhino trade insults again. Over the past three weeks, that's all they've done. There is nothing here that makes it personal or takes it beyond the level of your generic feud, and that's not getting me hooked. Rhino rails on Sting (possibly foreshadowing), letting him know that he made the wrong choice. He will make an example out of Sting tonight, and that's your main event.

- Elsewhere, the Beautiful People await Sarah Palin, so they can make her a member of the Beautiful People. That sentence isn't quite right.

- Elsewhere still, Booker T and Sharmelle say that they're prepared for their respective matches, which leads nicely to...

Legends Title Street Fight: Booker T over Samoa Joe in about 9 mins via Axe Kick after shenanigans and hairspray courtesy The Beautiful People. The match was pretty OK, and while MEM winning through shenanigans is all good and fine, Joe's been looking like a bitch. He needs a strong win, and soon.

- In the MEM locker room, Steiner promises Sting that he will retain his title. He says 3D are not on their level and calls them fags.

- Elsewhere, Team 3D tell Joe that since winning every match is not possible, the idea is to come back hungrier after each loss. They tell TNA-F to step up. Pretty nice motivational stuff from 3D.

ODB's Angle: Not this again! Roxxi and Taylor Wilde are the guests, and they talk about their respective lives. Roxxi mostly gets bleeped out. Eventually, the point emerges that Roxxi and Wilde will have ODB's back at Final Resolution. This was shorter than the last time, and hence more tolerable, even somewhat perversely entertaining.

- A Sarah Palin lookalike arrives, and The Beautiful People are ecstatic and want to show her around. I guess Kip knows it's not her, but he's not telling.

Christy Hemme and AJ Styles over Awesome Kong and Scott Steiner in about 9 mins when Hemme pinned Kong with a Tornado DDT. This was long and shitty, as Steiner is slow and Hemme plain sucks. AJ worked three-fourths of the match, showing just how much faith TNA have in letting Hemme work a match. It then logically follows that she'll be getting a PPV title shot. Yep.

- Elsewhere, Kurt Angle threatens to cripple Mick Foley the next time he messes with him. Why not this time? Anyway, Foley promises to keep the match at Final Resolution one-on-one, but Angle says he has someone up his sleeve.

- Elsewhere still, Abyss (with James Storm's hat) is getting drunk with Beer Money, who try to get Jackie to do him some...um...favors. She gives him a little kiss, leading to a discussion about the virginity of those involved. Hmm. I'd rather have Beer Money in the ring.

Match 3: Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal, and Eric Young over Jimmy Rave and Sonjay Dutt in about 4 mins when Creed pinned Rave with a TKO. This is what Csonka would call an "Impact Special." Sheik Abdul Bashir was on the heel team, but he bailed after seeing Shane Sewell as the ref. (*Aside: What happened to Sewell's probation?) This was dumb booking and there was no time to play this match out. After the match, Young steals Bashir's X-Division Title.

- In the MEM locker room, JB interviews Sting, who does a fine job of playing his middling character. He says he trusts the MEM (he's got a really bad record in that department, actually), and they will be united. He promises to go out tonight and do what he does best: wrestle.

- Elsewhere, the Beautiful People and "Sarah Palin" run into "Booker the T" (that sounds like something Santino would say) and Sharmelle. Booker tells Kip to get rid of the hos.

- Elsewhere, Abyss(still drinking) gets a call from Matt Morgan. Abyss wonders if he can invite Morgan to the party, but Beer Money say that they're fresh out of alcohol. Abyss spots a bottle, so Beer Money solve the problem by smashing it over his head. Oops.

- Kurt Angle comes out and says that he's focused on Jeff Jarrett. That's dumb, because his match is against Rhino. Angle says that he knows JJ is jealous of his success. He finally gets to the point, saying that he'll destroy Rhino and taste his blood. Angle promises that he will own Jarrett and the company after Genesis. JJ says he'll have to do that over his dead body. I think Angle already said that.

- Elsewhere, AJ Styles says that this isn't about respect, rather about doing the right thing. He also namedrops Christopher Daniels. (Foreshadowing? I hope so.) If Sting doesn't want to pass the torch, AJ will take it himself. Finally, they put the potential next World Champion in focus. About damn time.

Main Event: Rhino over Sting in about 9:30 via GORE despite MEM interference. This was a nice, if short, main event. I'm intrigued to see where they go with Sting after this.

- There's a PPV coming up this weekend. I think. End Show.

Wrestling Counter: 31:30.

** TNA's begun drifting again. This show brought to the forefront a lot of things TNA don't do right. The in-ring stuff was middling at best, again, and the sheer amount of backstage bullshit begins to get on my nerves rather quickly. The direction of the main story is still nice, and keeps me tuning in to Impact every week, but I'm starting to lose my patience. And I like TNA.

** Conclusion: The STABLE OF GOD~ (Jericho-Orton combine) > Main Event Mafia.

I'm a little annoyed that this MEM / Frontline war is seeming like a way to push, more that anyone else...Rhino? He wins the Turkey Bowl, for what that's worth (let's say it's worth something, for the sake of argument) and then pins Sting pretty much clean this week? That's who Sting puts over? Rhino? I've always though of Rhino as TNA's Kane -- he could get beat every other week and still make a decent surprise opponent or mystery partner. Does TNA really have so little faith in all the other young guys at their disposal that they have to add Rhino and -- worse! -- Team 3D to the Frontline?

(Well, of course, I'm assuming that 3D turns heel at the PPV.)

(Also, while I'm thinking about them, let me mention that 3D can not perform simple arithmetic. If you've held the belts 20 times -- but don't currently -- then you've lost them -- ready? -- 20 times. It's actually surprisingly straightforward, guys.)

Rhino was one of the big steals away from WWE when TNA started. He had a nice push once and has been TNA mid-card hell. His promos and character have been good to great in this storyline, so why not push him? We all know he is not going to beat Kurt at Final Destination, but at least with a win over Sting it puts a little of doubt in that match. I am really enjoying this storyline and so far TNA hasn't really shot itself in the foot too much. Joe needs a win bad, but that is really the only glaring problem that needs to be fixed. At least TNA is trying to do something epic, WWE is doing the same old same old with superman Cena and dominate HHH storylines that were tired out two years ago.

The guy has been crazy over for years in TNA, and his promos have improved tremendously since he joined the company. Plus, he is quite solid in the ring. I actually think of him as a TNA guy now. What did he really do in WWE anyway?

He hasn't done much lately, but has been with them for 3/4 years no. Why shouldn't he get a taste of the big storyline? I think he deserves it.

The big storyline in question is supposed to be pushing TNA's homegrown, younger talent, not a perennial JTTS with WWE connections and a bum neck. This storyline is a bust so far - two motnhs in and the hot new young go-getters are Team 3D and Rhino. How can people not see how stupid that is?

Rhino is a former TNA/NWA champ who managed to survive Jarrett's squad to take the title (after Nash no-showed the PPV; think he was in the hospital).

So, of course, I suspect he's going heel.

Wait. TNA wouldn't make a new ECWish faction to fight MEM and the Frontline, would they?

You know what bugs me about the Rhino/Kurt Angle feud? They just haven't given the fans a reason to get into the feud. Sure, it's just a part of the big picture of MEM vs the Frontline, but if you're semi-headlining a PPV with this match, you should give me a special reason to buy it. I feel the WWE does a much better job of making its headline feuds far more personal. The Jericho/Cena and Jericho/Michaels feuds, as well as the new JBL/Michaels (on a smaller scale, perhaps) feud are good examples of taking a good feud and making it personal, so as to make the viewer care.

I see no problem in Rhino getting pushed, because apparently the TNA crowd see him as a viable threat. But all he and Angle have done for the past two weeks is trade generic insults. And somewhere, it's led to the match not quite attaining the epic proportions that it had the potential of attaining.

Well, I am sure people will have mixed feelings about Rhino. But I would rather have Rhino vs Angle than the match is it building up to, Jarrett vs Angle. Rhino vs Angle is probably being billed as a co-main event to stroke Kurt's ego.

More foreshadowing: The first take of the program was a big fan sign that said bring back daniels and they stayed with it at least 5 seconds. Maybe they get him into the feast or famine match.

Rather than nit-picking, can't we just all agree that this Impact was terrible. Hardly any wrestling, backstage stuff that was truly asinine, and an actual interesting storyline (mEm vs. FL) that doesn't seem to have a point to it.

And THIS show was the one that got Impact's highest overall viewership ever (1.2 rating and 1.8 million viewers)?

Well, according to Alvarez, the rating went during the show and the main event stuff lost viewers.

I heard that the wrestling total in this show was 22 minutes, not the 31 listed above.

Which is just as stupid, but still.

There were commercials during both the Legends Title match and the main event, taking away about 7-8 minutes of action, which is where your number is coming from.

Stupider, even, I think. If Brother Ray pins Kevin Nash, AJ wins the title from Sting? Arrrgh. I really, really hope AJ doesn't win the title like this. Idiotic.

(Now, if it was "AJ gets a title shot" rather than just winning the title, that'd be fine. But this is just dumb.)

Wait..........Kevin Nash? Get pinned? Dude, what are YOU smoking?

I could live with it if it was "AJ gets a title shot", "The Legends title is dissolved and AJ and Joe get to destroy it next Impact", hell, I'd even settle for "The entire Frontline gets to gangbang Sharmell". But this stip just screams "HEELS WIN" and the faces kinda need to win one, especially considering a)the fact that the mEm went 4-0 at the last PPV, and b)Stevie Wonder can see the Team 3D turn coming 10 miles away in the fog.

This is yet another in a long line of "I wouldn't buy this PPV even if I had the money" shows. NOTHING interests me here. I'dve gotten Survivor Series for several things (Cena's return, Kozlov's first shot at the big time, even the casket match had some promise) but I wouldn't piss on this PPV if it were on fire. (And that's happened before, so I'm not just talkin here.)

There's part of me that is okay with Team 3-D going up against MEM. These are the type of guys the Dudleys mother fucked on a nightly basis back in ECW.

I'd like to see them take it one step further though and keep them as independent mercenaries, a role they took on a while in the WWE. They shouldn't be leading the charge for TNA, but they should be gumming up the works for people, because that's just kind of what they do.
