It probably says something about the low quality of the TNA broadcast that most of the thread has been speculating about Christian in WWE rather than what happened on the actual Impact.
Have you watched these broadcasts? While not a great show, Impact has been consistently better than Raw and SD! over the last month or so. Notice how the threads for the show get longer and longer each week it seems, while there is hardly ever a thread for Smackdown.
Maybe you do watch the show, and it's just not your cup of tea. I can understand that. However, quite a few fans seem to think Impact is as good as it has ever been.

Yeah. I'm with Karlos. They'd be better off feuding than teaming. Generally returning stars are faces by default, so that dynamic would fit in nicely.
Also, I don't agree with Christian playing the "2008 Chavo Role." I don't think Edge needs any lackeys; his manic heel persona doesn't really leave a lot of room for lackeys. I sincerely hope Edge's comeback happens as a manic heel and not a chickenshit heel, though. Plus, Christian's status on the card should be higher than that of Chavo.
I think Impact has been trading places between #1 and #2 of the four wrestling shows on TV right now (the other being ECW) in terms of quality. And for the first time in many years, TNA has gotten me to care about them. So kudos to them.

I can see Edge's return promo now: "It's obvious who I can and can't trust. Who I can and can't depend on. So the Rated R Superstar is back from hell.........and I brought someone back from hell with me!"
The only time in recent memory I remember a rookie winning a title right off the bat was Christian winning the Light Heavyweight title in his first match. Vince must have a huge hard on for this kid for him to beat Cena in his home town.
