I hope this doesn't cause any problems.

All in one weekend, we have the first ROH show of the year (DANIELSON YOU ARE GOING DOWN TO THE SAVIOUR OF WRESTLING, CHRIS HERO BIZNATCH!), the first TNA PPV of 2006, and the premiere of SEASON 5 OF Twenty Fucking Four bizzy! But ugh, the 24 premiere comes on at the same time as Final Resolution...decisions, decisions. Fortunately I have two TV's, but only one VCR.

They held a conference call with Sting who returns to wrestling officially this Sunday. He seems to have a good attitude and everything. I'm optimistic now that he says that he wants to give back and help the younger guys and work with them. But, will that actually happen? Can he still keep up with the best of the roster? Shawn Michaels, upon his return, it was kind of the same thing I'm going to stick around for a bit and put over the younger guys...and that never really happened. Michaels was still having the great matches, but I'm disappointed that he and WWE could've done a better job in having him put over guys like Benoit, Jericho, Christian, RVD, etc...

Sting's now pushing 50, and I really don't recall him having a quality bout since around 1999.

So here's the current line-up:

The James Gang vs. Diamonds In The Rough
The Diamonds are going to get sacrificed again . This match is a pointless waste of time. All its going to do is take time away from better matches like the 6 man tag and AJ vs. Tanahashi, which is lame. I understand giving everyone a spot on the card, but this is a pre-show match at best. Plus, watching Impact, this is not a match they were building up. If I was watching Impact and saw the promo video at the end, I was thinking they were going to do Latin American Exchange vs. The James Gang at the PPV. The new team of the James Gang wins.

X Division 6 Man Tag
Next Generation vs. Chris Sabin, Matt Bentley, and Sonjay Dutt
Hmm, I probably would've preferred something like Shelley vs. Sabin or Aries vs. Sabin, but I guess this works. If they give these guys over 10 minutes this has potential to be a show stealer, but I don't expect it to happen. Despite that, X division 6 man tags in TNA are always very good. I'd like to see NeGen win this to sort of cement themselves and further their push, perhaps get Lynn involved with them as their leader or mentor. He seemed to take interest in them on Impact. TNA needs to bring back #1 contenders matches in the X division and give us more X title matches on TV. NeGen wins.

Ron "The Truth" Killings vs. Bobby Roode
I'm glad that Killings has finally broken off from 3LK and I'd like to see what happens to him in singles again. I like both Killings and Roode, Roode especially who I think has great potential in the heavyweight division. Not really sure how to predict this one after their Impact thing, but I'll just go with my favorite in Roode. Luckily for Killings he won't be paired with Jeff Hardy any time soon.

Win A Title Shot Or You're Fired
Raven vs. Larry Zbysko's Mystery Opponent
They did this the last 2 months and the matches were...well they were pretty bad. The opponent this time? Its GOT to be Zbysko right? Who else could it be? The only other two people I would guess are Sabu, who doesn't have a match (not sure where he's been, if he's still healing from Turning Point). Sandman I suppose is also a possibility. Raven needs to win to end this silly skirmish with Larry Land and put Raven back in the world title mix. However, title shot matches in TNA are rather meaningless. I'll just go with Raven.

AbEEESSS! Abyss w/ James Mitchell vs. Rhino
I'm saddened that they have made Abyss a Jarrett underling. I thought one of the cooler Impact moments was last summer when Jarrett thought he got Abyss to side with him, but Abyss just black hole slammed Jarrett because Abyss is no one's bitch! Rhino defeated Abyss recently on Impact, Abyss needs to get a win back after losing barbed wire massacre. This will be a good and entertaining brawl I imagine. A hard fought loss against Abyss will not hurt Rhino. ABEEES(!) to win.

International X Showcase
AJ Styles vs. Tanahashi
This is part of TNA's worker exchange deal with New Japan. A deal which TNA really hasn't held up their side with as of yet. And AJ Styles seems to have a skirmish with Shannon Moore. TNA finally brought in Jushin Liger at Bound For Glory and had one of the most disappointing matches ever with Samoa Joe . So I hope the same thing doesn't happen here. Tanashi's apparently been on a losing streak in Japan, so this match is a chance to get him back on track. AJ Styles is coming off a huge loss at Turning Point, losing the X title to Joe in one of the best matches of the year. I don't know too much about Tanahashi, but I'm glad to see another puro guy in TNA and I'd love it if they did a co-promotional show like WCW used to do with New Japan in the 1990's. Those were the days. The only way I see Tanahashi winning is if Moore interferes and costs Styles the victory. I'm going to predict a clean win for Styles though.

NWA Tag Team Title Match
Team 3-D vs. America's Most Wanted(c)
The team formerly known as the Dudleyz soundly defeated AMW at Turning Point in the tables match. Its easy to predict that AMW will get the W back here, and the feud will climax at Against All Odds with Team 3-D winning the tag titles in a TLC match (Full Metal Mayhem in TNA). AMW retains the tag titles.

X Division Title Match
Samoa "Jaw" Joe(c) vs. The Fallen Angel, Christopher Daniels
You're my boys, do NOT disappoint me. This match was originally set at Unbreakable before AJ Styles was added. I've been waiting to see this match happen in TNA for 7 months. Daniels came in and was the most dominant X division champion of all time. Now Samoa Joe is the champion and probably the most dominant wrestler in TNA of all time. This is really just the start of Joe's title reign and his first X title defense. It would be a mistake to end his winning streak and take the title off him now. The person to do that needs to be someone like Sabin. Someone who really deserves the win and the title, and could ridiculously elevated by being the one to finally beat Joe. Think Aries and his huge victory over Joe at Final Battle 2004 ending his near 2 year title reign for what was considered the most important belt in professional wrestling at the time (and IMHO still is). Daniels wins. The interesting thing is, Joe and Daniels are wrestling each other 3 times this month in three different types of matches. This regular match here, then in ROH a 30 minute Iron Man Match and then an Anything Goes match. It will finally end their long standing feud in ROH. Joe wins.

Sting and Christian Cage vs. TNA Management and The Alpha Male, Monty Brown
Ugh, another tag team main event. Why does TNA have to do these seemingly every other month? What happened to defending the title within 30 days? I really don't expect Sting to lose in his big return match. So the faces go over here. Its really hard to buy this whole "war" storyline with Jarrett constantly railing on TNA management, when he IS TNA management. Jarrett says he's "just a wrestler." Yes double J, and I'm just the director of BloodRayne.

In conclusion, AJ shouldn't be worried about Tanahashi. AJ should be worried about leaving Dayton, Ohio on the 27th in one piece after American Dragon is through with him.

Kayfabe lives.

Without the live audience making it abundantly clear thet he is, I'm sure the company would like for the casual viewer not to know this. You don't see WWE flaunting that Helmsley is in the family on tv, why should TNA.

If you're the director of BLOODRAYNE, this also makes you responsible for ALONE IN THE DARK, HOUSE OF THE DEAD, and HEART OF AMERICA... you are Uwe Boll and this means I despise your every waking breath.

This will either go to a DQ (Chair, International object, etc, etc) or outside interference by Mitchell. I also suspect a ref bump may be involved - Rhyno misses the gore, gore, gore!

    Joe wins.

I don't like Joe right now. I like Daniels but somebody who will gain from ending Joe's winning streak should get the win. I don't think another loss will hurt Daniels at this time.

Sting, Christian vs Double JJ and Monty Brown.

Sting is going to get the pin here and I'm hoping it's on Monty Brown so he can fued with him and not Christian. I personally would prefer to see Christian involved with Jarret for the title over Sting. I don't know how much influence Spike has but if the rumours are true that they wanted Sting then I suspect he's going to pin Jarret this time, fued with Jarret and then get the title in the near future.

Careful about getting too excited over anyone from Japan just because they're from Japan and not the size of Kenzo Suzuki. If you've ever seen Jado wrestle and/or the push he got, you'll know what I'm getting at here.

The card for Turning Point for some reason looks a little weaker than the PPVs that TNA has put out in recent months. Joe/Daniels should and will be not only awesome, but could easily steal the show. I'm also eager to see Danielson/Hero in ROH, because Danielson's just plain awesome and I've been wanting to see Hero in action for awhile after hearing so many people build him up. Too bad I'll probably have to wait a month or so for the DVD to come out.

You know Cerebus, in 2000, HHH was pretty much running RAW and Smackdown with Vince and Stephanie McMahon...storyline wise .

My movies are worldwide performers. I do all the funding myself and we make more money back than Lord Of The Rings and Terminator 3. American moviegoers like the AICN and internet fans are retards .

These two matches have been added to the half hour pre-show for Final Resolution:

The Latin American Exchange vs. The Naturals
Team Canada vs. Jay Lethal, Kenny King, and Lance Hoyt

Still no more new matches added to the actual card. I've been hoping for Shelley vs. Sabin or Sabin vs. Aries.

Sting & Christian Cage vs. JJ & Monty Brown
Sting pins Jarrett. Sting vs. Jarrett, next month?

Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels
Joe wins, but Daniels is brave and true. Who's next for Joe? I'm at a bit of a loss, honestly. Could they stretch out Joe vs. Daniels some more, maybe?

AMW vs. 3D
Um...AMW, I guess.

Styles vs. Tanahashi
Tanahashi, due to Shannonigans.

Abyss vs. Rhino
Man, this is kind of a weird one. I'm kind of looking for a trios match next month combining this and the main event, or a tag match with, say, Abyss & Brown vs. Cage & Rhino. I'll say Abyss wins.

Raven vs. Mystery Opponent
Raven wins. I'll predict that the mystery opponent will be, um, Horace.

James Gang vs. DitR
Ha ha ha ha ha ha James Gang. LAX comes out afterward for a brawl~.

Truth vs. Roode
Truth.

Shelley/Aries/Strong vs. Sabin/Dutt/Bentley
Shelley's caused Sabin two losses in a row, so they get involved with their own issues as Aries pins Bentley.

In regards to Sting being 50, that is true - although I dont really think TNA is bringing him in for his in ring ability. I think we all know he is there because he's a name, even if its been a few years. It will be interesting to see how they use him. Samoa Joe Vs. Christopher Daniels will be the best match on the show - and although i'm just starting to see Joe for the first time here, I cannot believe how stiff his work looks and how good of an overall performer he is.

You know, I'd rather like to see Sting lose here... to Monty Brown... thanks to Christian turning on him.

Think about it. (I usually HATE fantasy booking, but anyways...) Sting says he wants to help out the company by helping the younger guys get over. Why not let one of the most 'over' guys in the company get a pin on you your first match back?

This could lead to Jarrett getting pissed at Monty for 'stealing his glory' leading (finally) to a title match for Monty. It can also give us what should be a pretty good match with Sting vs. Christian, which would help elevate Christian more. Sting doesn't lose anything because, essentially, he gets screwed by his team mate so it's not his fault for the loss.

Just a thought, anyways there's only a few more hours before the PPV so I guess we'll see what happens then.

Karlos, what's next for Joe, I say a blow off between the entire Joe/AJ/Daniels triangle. So at Against All Odds, book the huge rematch of AJ vs. Joe vs. Daniels for the X title. The stipulation being its the last time the match will ever take place similar to Joe vs. Daniels in Ring of Honor. Joe has to ultimately win the match.

The guy to beat Joe is Sabin, Sabin is the first guy in TNA who took Joe to the limit. Sabin is the guy who could be elevated by ending Joe's winning streak and do something with it. There's no point in it being AJ or Daniels. Plus Sabin really deserves it. So after tonight and Against All Odds, Joe's cemented his dominance, and have Ultimate X challenge at Destination X 2006. Sabin, being the king of ultimate X wins it and goes on to face Joe at Lockdown 2006. You can do one of two things here, have Joe just barely defeat Sabin after a very hard fought and brutal match, or have Sabin win the X title (I'd perhaps pick the former). Than at the next or two PPV's later, you have Sabin finally defeat Joe for the X title. Making him the only guy other than AJ Styles to win the title more than twice.

From there you can put the X title on any number of people including Alex Shelley, Bentley, Aries, Dutt, etc. And Joe should finally enter the heavyweight division and go on a killing spree to the world title.

Christian turning on Sting would be pretty lame IMHO. When Christian came into TNA with the goal of winning the world title, and especially the way they've set up Jarrett vs. Christian for the world title as their big feud and match. Just like they recently killed a Brown vs. Jarrett rematch.

I think we've seen enough of Sting getting screwed or turned on angles to last us for a lifetime. Plus, if Sting does get turned on, the Impact Zone will probably start a riot.

Jobbing Joe to Sabin would be the dumbest thing they could possibly do. He needs to hold onto the X Title and remain undefeated until they give him the belt which will hopefully happen in the not-so-distant future.

This looks like a pretty good card, if only for Joe and Daniels and, to a lesser extent, Styles-Tanahashi and the six man. But why is BG James not facing Konnan or the LAE in some capacity?

This will be my first TNA PPV tonight, thanks to a friend who said he was gonna get it...

Look forward to seeing what it looks like on PPV, I've heard good things.

Looking forward to Joe/Daniels most of all, and to see Sting's return, being I grew up with the guy, and have always been a Sting mark.

IMHO, no dumber than Joe losing the world title to Aries. Sabin's one of their best workers and he hasn't had a great feud or match in a while. One with Joe would really elevate him. Your idea works as well, but with Jarrett around I don't see Joe staying undefeated and winning the world title that way.

According to Bill Banks they don't want to blow everything off in one week. Which I suppose makes sense but I don't see the point in wasting time with pointless matches like The James Gang vs. The Diamonds which is an Xplosion match at best.

Well, Final Resolution is "in the books," and...geez, well, for me it was marred by some really screwy endings.

I appreciate the attempt to give us some "fresh" finishes, but I thought they all fell flat.

Moore accidentally helps Styles beat Tanahashi? If they're building towards a Styles/Moore feud -- which I assume they are -- it seems like that wouldn't really push things along. "Dude, you made me win that match!" I guess they could just say that Styles is mad because Moore violated "the code of the X Division."

AMW vs. 3D -- the powder-blinded ref counts three with Ray pinning Harris, but, blinded, thinks that Harris pinned Ray, so he hands the belt to Harris, and AMW wins. This could've worked if it had played out differently, but asit was, was pretty confusing and seems...just wrong.

Joe vs. Daniels -- so Joe snaps, beats the crap out of Daniels, and Styles throws Joe's towel into the ring -- and so Joe wins. Now, it's nice that Joe's infamous towel actually plays a part, but -- wait, can anyone throw any towel in the ring and end any match? I wasn't aware it worked that way! Or is it part of "the code of the X Division"?

So. Some good wrestling -- quite a bit of good wrestling, actually, from everyone you'd expect it from (and even Sting looked pretty good) -- but the weird endings, one after another, left me feeling pretty deflated.

Raven fought Sean Waltman, who beat him with liberal interference from Larry Z. Now Raven is 'gone' from TNA.

I was honestly hoping for Sabu. Overall I thought it was a good show, could've been better, and I agree with Karlos, too many screwy finishes.

Joe vs. Daniels was simply amazing and it just makes me more excited that they are having 2 more matches in a couple weeks that will probably be even better.

I totally dug the opening match since it featured most of my favorites...Sabin's new haircut just looks wrong. Sabin you shouldn't look like Beautiful Bobby. I'd like to hope it means better matches and a push for NeGen, and Lynn is finally back in the picture possibly as their mentor.

James Gang/Diamonds was a pointless waste of time. Its sad because I like Young and Skipper and they've simply become JTTS or basically jobbers to lesser workers who used to be hot stuff in WWE nearly a decade ago.

I thought Dudleyz/AMW was actually a great match with a crappy finish. The match itself had a really important, big match feel that the finish kind of ruined.

Waltman returning and beating Raven really pissed me off. I know Raven really isn't gone, but TNA better do SOMETHING productive with this.

AJ vs. Tanahashi was good and about what I was expecting.

Main event. I wasn't that impressed with Sting and his Jack Nicholson haircut. His facebusters looked pretty sloppy. I question if he can handle working a quality lengthy single match since it wouldn't have a guy like Christian or the tag team setting to hide his weaknesses.

Admittedly, I haven't been able to follow this storyline closely but has Raven benefitted at all from it? The few times I've seen "Impact", it's just consisted of Raven being thrown out of the arena by Larry.

It just strikes me as odd that they have a big name star like Raven (whom a lot of casual fans would know from the other companies) and they don't add him to the main event mix. I'm not saying that they shouldn't push the lesser known stars, but they could at least use him to give some variety of the title scene instead of always going back to Jarrett.

Eh, there has been a little more to the Raven/Zbysko feud than Larry simply throwing Raven out of the arena (though that's been, by far, the most common activity). There was also a match on iMPACT! in which Raven was forced to face all three members of the Diamonds in the Rough in a House of Fun match, and while they beat on him, Zbysko kept shoving the release form in Raven's face, telling him to sign it and that'd be the end of it. Raven refused and got his ass kicked some more-- and it was a pretty vicious ass-kicking at that.

Eventually, Raven's number one fan Cassidy Riley came down to help out, and bought Raven a little time, which he used to regain an advantage briefly after Riley got punked out. Ultimately he got tossed from the ring through a table and triple-pinned for the three-count. So Raven got his ass kicked, but didn't surrender by signing the form. There's some character-building points to be gained by that, in any event.

And there have been at least one or two matches that Raven had to win or else he'd be fired from TNA. Why the fuck they'd have Sean Waltman, of all people (who couldn't even be bothered to show up at the last PPV he was on, and that was a tag-title match, even), be the guy who "ended Raven's career" for the moment, I have no idea. At least make it somebody who's had a history with Raven, like Perry Saturn or Billy Kidman.
