Quick Results for TNA Against All Odds.

X-Division Title: Alex Shelley over Eric Young via Schoolboy. It was a decent match that failed to take it to the next level. The counters-for-counters finish was very nice. This was probably here only to get the title defended on the PPV. I don't see feauding possibilities.

- Angle talks up the MEM and how they are all winners. Regardless of the result tonight, the MEM will be closer.

Scott Steiner over Petey Williams via Steiner Screwdriver. This was far better than the match on Impact a few weeks ago because it had a clean finish and Steiner did a good job of conveying just how much of a threat Petey was. If they go at it again, Petey better come out on top, though.

- Postmatch, Samoa Joe appears on the TNATron to tell Scott that he'll be his first victim.

- Mick Foley and his god-awful jacket, and Sting take turns putting each other over.

Brutus Magnus over Chris Sabin via Tormentum. A better showcase of Magnus than last week, but that's probably because it's fuckin' Sabin in the ring. I want to see him go some more before I can say TNA has a potential new star. His helmet is pretty funny.

- Backstage, 3-D cut a pretty cookie-cutter promo with Lauren.

Knockouts Title: Awesome Kong over ODB via Implant Buster. This was some nice bitch-killing, but I'm lost on the booking logic here.

Legends Title: Booker T over Shane Sewell via Axe Kick. An extended squash, which is disappointing. Sewell needs to get some wrestling gear and bring into focus some other part of his character, because wrestling-referee is going to get old really fast.

- Postmatch, AJ Styles comes out to cut a promo on Booker and challenge him for a match for the Legends Title in the near future.

- Backstage, Lauren wants Morgan to take it easy on Abyss because apparently Abyss still cares for Morgan. Riight. Morgan warns her to stay in her place, because otherwise she'll be sorry.

Abyss over Matt Morgan via Black Hole Slam. Morgan was working injured, so the match quality was down. I also hate regular matches where weapons are used with gay abandon. Why not make it no-DQ, or a streetfight, or something? Postmatch, Abyss tries to BHS onto the tacks, but Morgan escapes again.

- Backstage, Angle and Sting hug. Angle tells Nash to keep an eye on Sting.

Tag Titles: Beer Money over Lethal Consequences after Strom clocked Lethal with a loaded fist. Beer Money were awesome as usual; Lethal Consequences brought their A-game, selling was good, and that makes this my match of the night.

World Title: Sting over Angle, Ray, and Devon when he pinned Ray with the Scorpion Deathdrop. Thank you, TNA, for still allowing me to keep faith in you. This match was far better than expected - while it wasn't spectacular, it didn't drag, either.

- Postmatch, Foley and Sting exchange more pleasantries. Angle is less than pleased.

- End show.

** A decent enough show, with two good matches, and two decent matches. The bad is kept short, and the main event delivers from a booking point of view. While the good is not on the level of the good from Genesis, but then the shitty isn't of the level of Genesis shitty either. For a show with such a weak card, it was pretty nice. Let's go with 6/10 and a mild recommendation.

Man, I almost wish I had bought it just for the Steiner Screwdriver. Whenever we watch a Steiner match, my brother and I always joke, "oh, he's going for the Steiner Screwdriver! Here it comes!" and of course it never does.

I wonder if there's a new face coming in (Victoria?). Or maybe (more likely) Hemme's on the way back so they're switching back to her.

How was the Tormentum? On Impact it pretty much looked like a Samoan Drop.

Against all Odds is Steiner Screwdriver! To me that was the only good part of the PPV. Best yet, it made Petey look strong seeing as he had to use it as everything else had failed on Maple Leaf Muscle. Funny sidenote: After an the intense match, and the Screwdriver, then the after match top rope Samoan Drop. Joe's vid comes on and a minute later the camera cuts to Tenay and West. Far behind them you can see Petey nonchalantly walking to the back ala Steve-O and Pontius after the Umaga beatdown.

Yeah, yeah the Tormentum is definetly a Samoan Drop. It looks like he tries to spin and drive them into the mat but fails cause he doesn't look like he turns at all. What makes it worst is that West and Tenay try to sell this move like it's the new Canadian Destroyer or F-5.

It was better than the one on Impact. This time there was a resemblance of a spin. If he can't get Sabin or Sharky up in that move, I don't see how it's gonna work on someone more his size, like Abyss or Morgan.

That was almost a TNA Haiku.
