A question my fiancée and I debated before catching the 3D rerelease of Titanic today: if this were George Lucas' movie, would the iceberg hit the ship first?

Anyhow, I can honestly say that the 3D adds very little to the experience. In fact, there were times I was convinced that the film was still in 2D.

I'm not afraid to admit that the movie still kicks my ass...I cried at the end of it. Still, ten or so years after seeing it for the first time.

I bet our friend JustinShapiro has a review on his site...but to be honest, its not worth the extra cost to see it in 3D.

I saw Titanic with my wife when it came out and I enjoyed but for the big screen experience but always thought it was overrated. Outside of the chemistry between DiCaprio and Winslet, the movie was blah up until the ship sank. I have never seen it again and would certainly never spend money to see it in 3D.

Another film I feel the same way about - Avatar. A weak script and mediocre acting saved only by spectacular special effects. Saw it in the theater and would never watch it again.

Life is hilariously cruel.

Using the Cerebus method of scoring movie quality, this is the second best movie ever made.

My point is that all these 'Best Of...' lists are highly subjective. I got more enjoyment from watching Raise The Titanic than this film. Titanic bored me up until it hit the iceberg. My favorite scene was watching people fall and hit the railings.

Anyways, everyone knows Citizen Kane was the second best movie ever made.

This is the first 3D release I'm skipping. I would only see this again if they used the MST3K audio track.

Forget it Josh... it's Cerebustown.

Personally, I'd say after Lawrence of Arabia, but ESB is in my top 20.

Given that I'll now be watching 3 of the 4 shows on, its a pretty safe bet I'll just keep on watching right through 30 Rock. If anything I suppose this means I should start watching the show now...
