| #1 Posted on 2.10.03 1252.34 | Is there a way to download the saved shows/movies etc from the DVR to a computer harddrive?
I know that this can be done with Tivo but I don't have any experience with the TW DVR and I don't want to mess anything up on my laptop by just hooking it up to the DVR.
Thanks for the help.

| #2 Posted on 2.10.03 2002.59 | Instant Rating: 9.41 | Can you list the model number of the box that you are working with? There are a number of different cable boxes that have this feature, I believe.
(Although, I think the answer is no. I called the cable company I subscribe from and asked them if the firewire ports on my box were active, and they said no.)
(They also said that the ports were there for future upgrade, so I assume they are turned off in the software, not in the hardware.)
Try calling your cable company and asking?
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid. |
