If anyone has more information on this product please post it. Is there color eInk? Is this just a touch screen? It looks amazing, and if publishers start putting out all their magazines in this sort of format, I will be rethinking my paper subscriptions. If I can clip pictures and recipes...
Oh man. Stuff like this makes me think we might actually be living in the future.
So far I've been able to avoid being assimilated into "Apple Nation" (no iPod, iPhone, mac, etc.) but when/if their rumoured "Tablet" hits the market and you can get full colour comic books on this thing (the link you posted certainly looks like what the "Tablet" is rumoured to be) . . . well all hail Jobs . . . resistance is futile.
"You are going to get a certain amount of snarkiness on the Internet no matter what, and my rule is that you don't post anything that you wouldn't say to someone's face." Marc Andreyko (Writer of DC Comic's "Manhunter")
I've never been an early adopter, especially of expensive Apple products, but that device coupled with downloadable mainstream comics could seriously change my mind.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
This is getting quite a bit off the original topic, but it apparently wasn't Apple that Longbox was referencing in the link posted by DrewDewce, but instead Microsoft.
I'm torn. It is probably going to be amazing, but the article says it is going to be a 10 inch LCD touch screen. That might be a deal breaker for me. I'm pretty sure I want an eink display if I'm going to read novels on it. LCD would be fine for comics and magazines though...
I was satisfied with the conclusion, and even though few things ever live up to the hype, this came close. I was also a a little disappointed that they killed off the Earth 2 Superman.
