Congrats to Lincecum. And like several other no-nos I have seen over the past couple of years, a great job by the outfielder (in this case, Hunter Pence)to save it for him. I hope Lincecum rewards him with a nice steak dinner or something for that awesome catch in the eighth.
Lincecum has actually been pretty good this year, if you look at the advanced metrics and not at his real-life ERA. He's just been pretty unlucky so far....until last night.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
Guess I haven't seen the Giants play in awhile. When did Lincecum cut the old locks?

He's had PLENTY of problems, and hasn't pitched in a while. He looks like a lost cause right now in terms of a player. He should be focused on getting better.
