Man it's *96* in St. Paul. The Heat Index is *105*. Inside it is also HOT. I may have to LOOSEN THIS TIE AHHHHHH

Despite it being too hot to go out, I went to Best Buy. They did NOT have the Special Edition DVD of "Christine!" They tried to charge me $14.99 for the Ghostbusters 1 & 2 Special Edition DVD despite a very obvious $12.99 sale price!! I had to get uppity! They gave me +10% so I only paid $12.79! That extra twenty cents will mean that by the time I retire, thanks to the magic of compound interest, I'll be a MILLION dollars richer! Of course, I can't actually deposit that twenty cents into the 401(k), so it's all theoretical at this stage.

I also need to save my pennies because next week ALLLLLLLL kinds of television series come out on DVD. More on that LATER

BYE

So Friday I stuffed my car with a year's worth of aluminum cans (all the ones we've amassed since moving in) and drove down to a remote location near St. Paul to turn them in - this is, like, the last vestige of my California upbringing: compulsive recycling of aluminum cans. You have to cross a railroad to get to the place, but because there are almost constantly trains moving forwards OR backwards across one of the two tracks, the street LEADING to the street to get you to the place was backed up for something like forever. ANYWAY. I got $17.16 for 33 pounds of aluminum cans. But it wasn't about the MONEY, MAN - IT'S FOR THE EARTH.

Try explaining that to Target. I've got sacks of Jones cans (and a few bottles) sitting behind the driver's seat. There's NOWHERE in CT that takes 'em. You and your "California upbringing" and your cash value for refunds...

CRZ, you or anybody know if this new "special edition" has the Ray Parker Jr. music video? I've scoured the official and unofficial sites, and can't find diddly. Help a honky out!

And yet, they're all in Stamford, where you need a shoehorn just to take 95. Only question's if I can get to the one that's actually nearby while they're open.
