OUT ON DVD TODAY: Jamie's Kitchen: the Complete Series
Perhaps that should be OUT ON DVD TODAY THAT I'M REMOTELY INTERESTED IN, and even THAT I'm not gonna buy. Maybe the Steve Zissou movie is fantastic. I just can't get as excited about "Quantum Leap: The Complete Third Season" as others can. I'll admit it. My nerdom is limited within certain NICHE subnerdoms.
"Subnerdom" is a word, correct?
Your search - subnerdom - did not match any documents.
Hmmm, maybe I have a new tagline for the board...
....or maybe I'm just spelling it wrong...
(Yes, somehow I picked ties without ANY tags for two days in a row. I'll try to be more awake picking tomorrow's tie so I don't have to blather on about incredibly fascinating nothing)

and it took me almost 2 full minutes for the image to appear. Anticipation makes the experience all the more special - and I was not disappointed. I almost feel for your co-workers, but then I thought they must be more immune than us wieners - they get to appreciate wrinkles/stains/3-D effect etc.
I'm in total agreement on the personal lack of enthusiasm for "QL - Complete 3rd season", and was surprised at the caliber of nerds lined up for it. If Revenge of the Nerds taught us anything (besides that John Goodman was once twenty sizes thinner), Nerds come in all shapes and sizes, Nerds are everywhere, this one brought 'em out of the woodwork.
To risk exposing my own nerddiness (since posting at 1AM about an ugly tie isn't enough), I offer that "subnerddom" would imply a level below nerd - perhaps slanderous - those striving to achieve the level of Nerd. I'd suggest "Subset of Nerddom" or "a small hamlet in a village in the kingdom of Nerds" but agree it doesn't have the same ring.
