I'm pretty sure I saw this tie lying in the road in Riverside and "rescued" it, but that was a long time ago. Very 1980s design - lots of randomly (yet sparsely) placed shapes against a black background. Of course, the scanned part bears little resemblence to the tie as a whole. I need to work on that (or stop scanning ties immediately after waking up and already practically late for work).
BICA uomo
100% SILK
Strangely enough, doing a Google on "BICA uomo" to try to get more info about them pointed me back to....me, and my own threads - turns out the tie given to me as a gift by a couple of ladies I was in Model UN with was *also* a BICA uomo (The W). So at least the Riverside story holds up, at any rate. Still not much in the way of useful/interesting information, but what can you do.
I keep meaning to start a thread about the tiny graphics we're continually adding to the thread icons pile, but I haven't gotten around to it. I seem to spending all that quality time....making more tiny graphics. Hmm

Forgive me if you've already covered this, but do you intentionally go for ugly ties because they're ugly, or are you a cheapskate when it comes to buying ties, therefore ending up with ugly ties by default?
The lovliest night I ever spent at sea was on April 13, 1970.
