Probably not...the tag says DON LOPER BEVERLY HILLS - I don't know who that is, but he doesn't sound like a man who makes ties that come free with a shirt!

Hmm, looks like a quick Google search comes up with four other ties (google.com) with that number. WPL 2831 (rn.ftc.gov) for the truly bored. I guess if you're clicking on a thread to see what kind of tie I'm wearing today, you're already halfway to that PARTICULAR state of boredom...

Don Loper was regarded as the Armani of the 1960's. He was jokingly referred to by Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack as "Custodian of the Royal Robes." He made all their black tuxes and what-not...specializing in mohair, rayon, sharkskin, and lotsa glimmering, sheen-y fabrics.
(Source: The Way You Wear Your Hat: Frank Sinatra and the Lost Art of Livin' by Bill Zehme...a must-read)
He also did some work in Hollywood. (Rotten Tomatoes) And his name is still on a line of cufflinks. (Dress-UpInc.com)
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy.
