Yeah, I started a contract gig today. Hooray for money

I didn't want to shock and awe right off the bat, so I chose this understated number. I bought it (and 40 others) Saturday at the 50% off sale at Savers, which means most of the ties you'll see in the coming month cost me probably like $1-$2.50.

No brand name on this tie - tag says "100% POLYESTER RN 17279" - well, that's helpful.

That's a nice generic first day tie. You want to leave them wanting more.

Oh, and congrats on starting a new gig.

Awesome tie. I'm all about stripes these days.

It looks almost like the side view of a phone book.

Is this a "tie required" job or "tie when you want to dress up" job?

My dad has a tie that looks just like that that he got from my uncle when my dad sold cars for about a month in the early nineties. That tie looks like a refugee from the 80's. I like it.

I think I met one other guy wearing a tie today.

Clearly, the follow-up question that must be asked is: "How long was HIS hair?"

I like it. Did you wear a monochromatic shirt? I'm thinking a black (although red would work fine, too).

I'm ScreamingHeadGuy, and I approve this post.
