I'm not sure how it happened, but I think it started when I bought a predominantly purple tie and later I thought, "you know, I should get a purple shirt to go with this," and that led to me buying ANOTHER purple tie, and another shirt, and the next thing you know, I'm wearing a whole lot more purple than the average guy. (The average guy wears something like ZERO purple.) My latest two excuses for purchasing purple shirts were 1) they were the only shirts on DEEP discount at the Mervyn's sale (go figure) and 2) C'mon, it was a purple shirt with white cuffs and collar - IT WAS COOOOOOL! Anyway, I guess since purple is yellow's complement, and yellow is my favourite colour, it all kinda makes sense in the end. Just for fun, THIS post's background is the same colour as the shirt I'm wearing with this tie. And by "fun," I mean "fun FOR NOBODY"

I must say that I do own a purple shirt. It is a pale purple, kind of lilac. It is in general rotation and gets worn regularly. Purple shirts go excellently with black pants. I guess that makes me either more than average or less than average.
