Well, I was going to post this much earlier but then I was seized with a compulsion to defragment my hard drive and that took FIVE HOURS. I had hoped that it would stop making Compaq display "DRIVE FAILURE IS IMMINENT!" errors every time I rebooted (which, admittedly, isn't all that often) - it didn't - I still don't believe them. Luckily, this being a work computer, there really isn't anything on here that I'd get worked up about losing if the hard drive suddenly DID decide to just stop working. I guess we shouldn't have tipped it over while moving it into this office. Ah, hindsight...
Long story short (too late), my officemate Mikhail found a driver (windowsxp-drivers.com - don't bother registering, the user/pass combo for everybody is "driver/all") that allows the stone-age *Connectix* QuickCam VC that no longer works on Kim's old iMac (although there's probably a homemade driver for THAT, too, now that I think about it) to somehow miraculously feed a raw picture into the XP version of ImageStudio...although it appears you can't adjust/correct the colour or brightness, oh well (but maybe there's some other Logitech stuff that's been hacked up that'll - ah, screw it, it can wait until Sunday)
Man why aren't I home yet? OH YEAH I HAD TO POST THIS BYE
pieman (or maybe his wife, I dunno) just wrote me demanding equal time. (Note: this is not a competition) The only problem was the graphic that was sent to ME weighed in at a whopping *1001K* - GEEZ MAN. So I shrunk it to 38K for our poor dialup users who demand the rich, shiny graphical experience, yet only have the bandwidth budget for small numbered sizes.
Fortunately, I don't have a tie like that, so I don't have to take it out of my rotation. Or should I say..."unfortunately?"

I've got prescription sunglasses. By now, they're at least a couple prescriptions behind my regular glasses, but I only really use them when driving, so it's not like I need to get a new pair every time.
