Who else caught this last night? My roommate and I LOVED it. The art (anime inspired), the writing (Snarff, WilyKat & Kit were actually adorable and not annoying), the voice acting, and the direction with the re-imagining were all great. The original Lion-O even had a part.
At the end of the hour, we couldn't believe it was already over. Can't wait for next week. It comes with the highest possible recommendation if you were a fan of the original.
EDIT: I said Kit and Kit, meant Kat and Kit.

I need to see this as well. One day last week I found that CN was playing the original show, and watched what was the "pilot" episode and the episode with the Robo-Berbils (sp?). It was great nostalgia.

I liked the changes to Snarf and WilyKit and WilyKat but I thought the biggest improvement was Tigra. In the original--and maybe I'm misremembering because I was like 4--Cheetara was the hot one, Panthro was badass, Lion-O was like the Cena-like good guy and then Tigra was just kind of there. No role, no personality. In this series he has a personality and he's a DICK. It's great and I hope that he and Lion-O butt heads.
What a terrific movie. Bradley Cooper is terrific in this, especially his portrayal as a guy suffering slowly worsening PTSD. It is not the tension filled flick the trailer leads you to believe. Not taking ANYTHING away from the film, it's remarkable....
