Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand, who are currently being sued by Discovery for $3 million for not finishing their voice-over work for their spin-off "Hillstranded", and Capt Sig Hansen have all left the show because of said lawsuit.
In case you don't want to click the link, here is their joint statement:
"We have been through a lot over the past year and unfortunately given the current situation with Discovery we are unable to continue participating in 'Deadliest Catch,'" the three crab fishermen said in a joint written statement. "It has been a fantastic ride, and we wish the best to all of the amazing and supportive 'Catch' fans we have met over the years."
Sig was also a technical advisor to the show.
With the death of Capt. Phil Harris, unless more boats are featured, we are left with:
Cornelia Marie: ??? Because of repairs needed, it might not go out this season. Kodiak: Wild Bill Wizard: Colburn brothers
That doesn't look like great TV. The Sea Star was featured for a few seasons, but I can't remember that boat.
I was thinking simply that he'd be dead in 2004 LA (being around 170 years old), but it got me thinking about how exactly The Incident skews the timeline. Then, my brain started to hurt. Did Sun kind of confirm that SHE was the Kwon on the list?
