But I'm not sure they're ready to turn Austin heel again, not so soon anyway. I mean, it went alright the first time, but I think his current return to facedom is going MUCH better.

I suppose you're right, but why would he?

I agreed completly. Because I'm pretty sure the idea of a Austin-HHH WM is better than a Jericho/HHH WM.

| #4 Posted on 14.2.02 2202.40 | My dream would be for The Rock and Triple H to be standing in the back together watching Austin get screwed over by the nWo. Triple H comments that it's just begun and Rocky Rock Bottoms him on the concrete right there and say
"You're right...it's only just begun"
He unbuttons his $800 shirt to reveal an nWo shirt under. No eyebrow. No "if you smell." Just a fade out.
Now for this heel turn to actually work, you'll have to take away everything the fans like about the Rock. That means no jokes, no funny putdown or catchphrase, and he would HAVE to learn to talk in the first person.

| #5 Posted on 14.2.02 2306.46 | Nah, the Rock already walks the line of arrogant heel. He just has to be a dick to everyone (not in a funny manner) and be really rude to the fans. That'll make him a heel, and I'll be happy to se Rocky heel. Heels are always the best, Austin, Jericho, Rock. The villain always moves the story. Rock heel would be neat.

HHH vs. Jericho Rock/Undertaker vs. Outsiders (or Rock vs. Undertaker in some form) and Austin vs. Hogan

| #7 Posted on 15.2.02 0018.01 | I am seeing Austin-HHH at WM, but not because of the Austin turn to the NWO. To me the whole wedding thing and the Steph reffing angle is all just a giant swerve. I say HHH goes NWO, since he seems to love nothing more than getting the fans to want him as a mega face, then pulling out some "cerebral" move to stay as a heel. Austin beats Jericho, HHH and the NWO beat Angle, we get Austin-HHH at WM.
There, I feel better now. | ekedolphin

Turning Rock nWo would be a very, very bold move indeed. And I agree with you that in order for this to work properly, The Rock has to go FULL-FLEDGED heel-- no comedic stuff, no eyebrow, no catchphrases. Take away everything the fans love about him.
But isn't that really tempting fate? Enough people love The Rock that to do something that dramatic to his character could cause the WWF to lose a great deal of their fanbase.

| #10 Posted on 17.2.02 0146.20 | Rock in the nWo... hmmm... naw.
Now Austin I could see joining, but not yet. They turned Austin heel the first time because the Alliance needed a believable leader, and the nWo doesn't need that. I see Austin as the WWF's hero this time around.
Anyone who wants to join the nWo has to be someone who wants to destroy the WWF. Personally, I see Taker fitting this role, especially after the dressing down he got from Flair the other day. Plus Taker fits the "Over the hill type who the smarts think is keeping everybody down" role. |
