Hmmm. Steiner once said Flair had more loose skin then a Sharpei Puppy. That was good.

Steiner also once said we were all mesmerMIZED by him.

Well, I'll try to contribute to this thread as much as I can, although I WISH I could find a transcript or something of the sort to add to my reply.

I'll never forget Sting's promo on the 7 July '96 WCW Monday Nitro the night after Bash At The Beach, '96, in which Hulk Hogan allied himself with The Outsiders and thus, forged the genesis of the nWo. The Stinger and Macho Man Randy Savage had a tag team match in the main event. But that seemed trivial to the sentiments that Sting expressed on that night.

(Granted, this is all coming from the top of my head without aid of videotape or transcribed text.) Sting, with a dead serious look on his face, finger pointed right into the camera, addressed Hogan:

"You told the kids to say their prayers. You told the kids to eat their vitamins. You told the kids to believe in themselves! Well, I sure hope they DO believe in themselves Hulk, because they sure CAN'T BELIEVE IN YOU!... You told all of these fans out here that they can stick it? No, Hulk...

YOU stick it."

With all that had gone down with Hogan's heel turn the night previous, I was brought to tears after hearing and seeing Sting bare his (kayfabe) soul! That was a truly memorable moment.

Hope that's the kind of thing you had in mind.

I'm sure the thread's probably gonna get shut down (because of a semi-ban on lists), but I'll take a minute to think of a few of mine. No dates, though, unless I know off the top of my head... I don't really feel like doing research right now.

“You people... you used to love me. Now you hate me. One thing's for sure, you'll never forget me.”-- Diamond Dallas Page [great quote, until he displayed his annoying tendency to repeat his great quotes millions of times]

Arn Anderson's entire speech from 1997, when he retired and gave his spot in the Horsemen to Curt Hennig. Hennig's recent death only made Arn's speech-- and Curt's later betrayal of the Horsemen to join the nWo-- that much more memorable. Man, after all that, I'm not gonna lie to you, I wanted to see Curt Hennig get his ass kicked something fierce. Which, of course, was exactly the reaction WCW was hoping for.

“I'm just the messenger.” [said by several people, notably J.J. Dillon. It seemed that this quote was wrestling-speak for “please beat me up now”.]

“Well, now that I'm the World Wrestling Federation Champion again, I've got a question for all of you. If you want me to beat this man's [Vince's] ass, give me a hell yeah. (HELL, YEAH!) ...Well it ain't gonna happen.”-- Stone Cold Steve Austin, the night after WrestleMania X-7 [heel gold]

“I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.”

Rick Rude at a Survivor Series event had his opponents on his crotch and his own team on his ass. As the camera focused in on this, Rude said:

"The tights on my bee-hind are tellin' the tale...Which team will perish, and which will prevail..."

I still think about this all the time. That is the true definition of genius.

And once, Hogan was in a tag-match against Savage and Sting, I believe, and I think it was one of those panama beach spring break nitros. Anyway, Savage took the mic and said "OOOOOH YEAH-YAH!" as he was wont to do for decades at a time whenever he liked. So Hogan took the mic and then said..."OOOOH NO!" And I cried soft tears of love for this great man who just said the one simple thing that, in twenty years, no one had thought to say to Macho Man in response to his absolutely ridiculous catch phrase. I wondered why no one had thought of it. I'm not sure, and I guess we'll never know, but I'm sure Triple H was somehow responsible.

And that time Mr. Perfect slapped a chicken. That's not a quote but it was a joy to see.

"I'll be in the back, eatin' fruit and being cool."

Damn if I don't use that one often.

Lest we forget...

"What?"

Yes, as annoying as it got and still kinda is, "What?" had it's purely classic moments.

But the heel Austin's best quote...

[To Tazz, in reply to the question of what Tazz's watch was saying.]

"Do you know what your watch is saying? I don't know, I don't speak spanish."

"I've got two words for you, BUCKET!"

Mick Foley was God.

"I don't know about John 3:16, but Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass." Steve Austin, King of the Ring, 1997. This is where it all started, folks.

"You look up my kilt again I'll bite your face off." Roddy Piper, and I believed him at the time.

In the name of good taste, I will no longer say anything about people who run wrestling websites and cats.

The following post expresses the opinions of a raving Jerichoholic. He is biased, opinionated and bitter. You have been warned.

I just loved The Rock's promo before the Armageddon Hell in a Cell in 2000 where he mocks everybody involved. Rock at his finest, IMHO. Then again, I never saw This is Your Life.

When Ric Flair was announcing Scott Steiner's opponent for Starrcade 2000, Scott Steiner uttered the immortal words in full dick mode: "Who is it? Stone Cold?!" Of course, it turned out to be Sid.
In the dying days of ECW, the face Steve Corino told Justin Credible: "You'll never out-heel me!"

Also, the week after Mike Awesome left ECW, James Mitchell cut a backstage promo on this, talking about "the deeds of certain former World Heavyweight champions."
Then Mickey Whipwreck rose up from a garbage can and exclaimed: "I'm a former World Heavyweight Champion!"

Who can forget the origin of "What?" when Stone Cold chewed out the Alliance jobbers? "Quote the Raven: You suck. What?"

My favorite of all time though, comes from Christian at Fully Loaded 2000 in Dallas when he exclaimed, "If JFK had been in this town for 5 more minutes, he'd have shot himself!"

The birth of What? from CRZ's August 13th, 2001 RAW Recap:

"Lookatchya! You're 275 pounds - your name is Hugh Morrus. What? Your name is...Hugh Morrus. What? Is that funny? Is that humourous? Are you here to make me laugh? What? You're PATHETIC! LOOK AT ME! You're pathetic! Y2J whipped your ass. I'm ashamed of ya. Step back."

Austin moves on. "Who whipped your ass...last week?" "Saturn." "Hehehe - okay. Here's a guy...who carries around a mop. It's - he carries a mop. What? As far as I'm concerned, you shoulda mopped the damn ring with that lunatic. He's got a sexual relationship with a stick, with a damn...mop on the end of it, and he whipped your ass? Am I correct? If I'm lying, you tell me I'm lying." "You're - you're correct." "I'm what?" "You're correct." "That's right, I am correct. WHAT ABOUT ME? WHAT ABOUT RAVEN? QUOTE THE RAVEN NEVERMORE. You want me to give ya a little speech? Do you want me too? You suck! Quote Stone Cold nevermore. You make me sick."

Austin turns to the last man in the ring. "...which brings me to you. At least these guys went down fighting. At least these guys tried. At least these guys had the intestinal fortitude to FIGHT. But what did you do, Tazz?" Austin is fixing Tazz' collar in loving fashion. "Master of the suplex - what did you do? Huh what what what what did you do, Tazz? The Human Suplex Machine - you came from ECW. You know what, I could sit and chastise you here all night long, but a picture's worth a thousand words, so let's - let's see exactly what you did. There ya are, right there in the circle with your stupid orange shirt on - you got a headset on, your little glasses - that's the boss - that's the guy who signs your paycheques, THERE - BOOOOOOM! That man, part of the Alliance, just got - well he just got the smack laid down to him right there on the announce table. What? You're an announcer. What? Did you say something? Did you say somethin'? No you didn't say nothin' because you CAN'T say nothin'." Crowd has given up on this segment and is chanting "Rock E." "You're pathetic. You always talkin' about being such a badass, about - 'HE WAS...JUSTANOTHAVICTIM!' You let Shane McMahon just get crashed through a damn table and didn't lift one finger. Does that make you feel good, tough guy? Redhook, New Jersey, New York, wherever the hell you're from, does that make you feel good?"

Austin removes his belt. "Tazz...we're gonna have a little come to Jesus meeting here...you've got to understand the position that you've put me in. These guys, these men, these superstars and future superstars that hope to be as famous as Stone Cold Steve Austin look up to me. What? I said they look up to me. So you'll understand that I have to whip you to make an example for these men. Take that stupid little 13 shirt off and take it like a man."

I loved that heel Austin period where, for whatever reason, he was always making Tazz take his shirt off.

My personal favorite came from the 1992 Royal Rumble - the one where Ric Flair went the hour and won the WWF Title. Heenan was on commentary, and the "executive consultant" of Flair at the time. Flair had been in the ring for about a half hour, and was alone with Jake Roberts and Roddy Piper, the latter of which was fueding with Flair at the time. Roberts was beating down Flair in the corner, and Piper came up and attacked the Snake from behind.

HEENAN: Thank you! Oh, I never thought I'd say this, but thank you Roddy Piper! It's not a skirt. It's a kilt! It's a kilt!

Then, after Roberts was down, Piper turned and started beating down Flair himself.

HEENAN: Oh, I knew he was gonna do that! You no-good freak! You no-good, skirt-wearing freak!!

This is by far not my favorite, but it's a recent quote that actually made me laugh out loud, when Cole said something to the effect of "Hence, the Guerrero's are new tag team champions" or something, to which Tazz replies

"Who's Hence?"

He has a great way of saying ridiculously stupid things without making himself seem stupid. Very rare.

I always liked Brian Adams with his "why don't you go get yourself a nice hot cup of shut the hell up" when they had the NWO B-team. I don't know if he made that one up, but I have liked it ever since, and used it with gusto.

I thought this thread was gonna get banned, that's why I didn't post. But these bring back memories for me.
It's been awhile but here are a few old ones of the top of my head:

Big Van Vader: "I'm just a fat piece of shit."

The King: "JR I'm gonna slap you to sleep if you don't keep quiet."

JR (to Bart Gunn): "Well, there ain't no anchor tied to your ass he's (Dr. Death) right there in the ring if you want him."

NEED NO INTRODUCTION:

"You're crazy, I'VE GOT BALLS THE SIZE OF GRAPEFRUITS!!"

"You'll give me a microphone that works son, or I'll have to kick your ass."

One I still use today sometimes: "Know your role and shut your mouth!"

"Whether you like it or you don't, learn to love it, cuz it's the best thing going today, WHOOOOO!

MANKIND: (one the funniest bastards ever. This has nothing to do with the fact that he's a fellow Gemini ;))

"Walk yourself down to the corner of Rodeo Drive and Jabroni Boulevard (pushes the guy away) and eat your role... shut your mouth! Jerk."

"...and I don't like having my testicles grabbed, I didn't like it as an alter boy and I don't like it now."

"Ken Shamrock, you may be a man of 1,000 holds, and I don't know how to get out of a damn one of them....It takes a good man to beat Mick Foley, it just doesn't take very long."

I'll stop there
