Comments: Very odd:

2) 1 Philly show on each leg. The last 2 times, they scheduled 1 show, then added a 2nd.
3) San Fran is the only North Cali show?

ManiacalClown is currently gassing up the van for a road trip I bet
No surprise to me about the arenas. They have played United Center or Allstate Arena a lot of times now in Chicago, and really since they'll likely sell it out they couldn't go any smaller.

Torchslasher foiled me this time, but I shall get him next time!*maniacal laughter*

To my knowledge, they've never played the Spectrum here in Philly, so that caught me by surprise. And Penn State? If they've ever played there before, it would have been their early club days.

Tour dates also listed on TenClub.

In the news section of TenClub, they mention that this tour is Climate Neutral - they figured out how much CO2 would be produced from tour buses, fans driving to/from the show, planes, trucks, etc., and "offset" that number through rainforest protection - I'd guess either an advanced donation or putting aside a percentage of their share of the revenue for Conservation International. That may be why they've chosen a bunch of smaller venues - less lighting, less people, less CO2.

On-sale dates, opening act, and additional dates (possibly Seattle shows?) are still yet to be announced.

YES!!! April first they start touring in the states,
THey stop touring down under & japan early march..this means they will (most probably) NOT be in Europe when I am in Seattle for Wrestlemania!

Call me stupid, but that was an actual fear of mine, as God is preventing me from seeing Pearl Jam the last couple of years.

I envy all you folks who do get to see em!

I got my TenClub ticket order info and it's like applying for a fucking mortgage. On the plus side, at least they're allowing us to order for more than one show.

The WWE could put on 2 hours of Kevin Kelly sitting on the toilet reading a phone book, and I'd still watch next week.

I got this in my inbox earlier, thought it had some interesting stuff in it.

PEARL JAM FANS:

Pearl Jam announced today that they will release an official bootleg of each show on their 2003 Riot Act world tour. Each bootleg will be a limited edition, double disc CD set. Unlike the 2000 bootleg series, the 2003 bootlegs will not be available in stores. Currently, the band plans to make them available only at the following URL addresses:

http://www.pearljam.com
http://www.tenclub.net
http://www.pearljambootlegs.com

Bootlegs will be sold for $12.98 to Ten Club Members and for $14.98 to non Ten Club members. Those who order an official bootleg prior to the show-date can expect it to be shipped within 2-3 days. Rush shipment options will be available.

Additionally, anyone who orders an official bootleg will be able to download at no additional cost an mp3 of that show within hours of the show's real-time completion. "We wanted to provide fans with a souvenir of the show they experienced immediately following the show-this comes pretty close," says Tim Bierman, Pearl Jam's 10-club manager.

Bootlegs can be pre-ordered now for Pearl Jam's Australian and Asian tours, which kick off in Brisbane on February 8 and in Sendai on March 1, respectively.

Pearl Jam originally conceived of the bootleg series as an effort to "bootleg the bootleggers" by making available for sale less expensive, higher quality recordings of all of their live shows.
