Wait, are you being sarcastic w/ that? I don't quite hang out here enough to tell.

Test *still* sucks, IMO. The only reason he is getting a reaction is because of Stacy and the moronic "Testicles" gimmick.

Who cares WHY he's getting a reaction? At least he has heat, unlike 80% of the roster. The crowd loves him now, whether it was done with Stacy or whatever. Once the fans get used to cheering him, they'll do it with or without Stacy.

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I think he looked really improved in his match last night. He moved quickly, hit all his moves and his finisher was CONVINCING and he genuinely looked pissed. I thought he was great - regardless of who his valet is or what his gimmick is. In fact, I'd rather see him without the gimmick.

Some Raw thoughts from the first one I've watched a majority of in about 7 weeks:

-Test had his working boots on tonight. It wasn't so much what he was doing, but that he was doing it about 20% quicker and with more intensity. And yeah, the big boot looked wicked. Perhaps he's having flashbacks to working with Shane McMahon.

-The Goldust signing is officially the best move of 2002 for WWE. He is along with Booker my favorite part of Raw week in and week out. Who knew Dustin had it in him?

-No offense but does Maven look a bit....squishy since he came back? I love the kid, but I wonder if maybe a few more weeks off to get fully ring shaped might not have worked in his favor.

-Dammit I missed Raven! I just hope he uses his awesome powers of prophecy to foretell an end to HHH being on Raw.

-I love Victoria, and not in the platonic way in which I love Maven or Booker. Psycho chicks are always such a turn-on
-The final angle wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen, just because Scott Steiner is so far removed from the human race at this point in both mind and body that his every live appearance is an adventure. Though am I the only one expecting an arm-wrestling table to make an appearance sometime in the next few weeks, or the Rick Rude/Warrior posedown to be brought out of mothballs?

May all of you have a blessed solstice.

Heat or not, I still can't stand to watch him wrestle. Rikishi has heat, too, as does Kane & Taker, but I'd rather watch paint dry than any of them wrestling.

The thing that bugs me w/ the latest Test push, is that they already had a guy on the roster that got cheers on his own - Hurricane. The took him off SD (where he is best suited) in order to win the tag belts w/ Kane, then proceeded to job out Helms to all the hosses on Raw, including twice to Test. What did Test do (besides hook up w/ Stacy) in order to get the latest push? It certainly wasn't his wrestling or getting over w/ the fans, each of which Helms does/did better than Test.

In fact, I'd rather see him without the gimmick.

We've seen him w/out the gimmick for years, and he was horribly boring in the ring & devoid of any charisma.

Which is why I said I thought he had improved in my original post.

I liked Raw a whole lot last night.

I, for one, don't like Victoria's new music and entrance video. I actually liked her previous music a lot more, and the entrance video didn't really say "psycho" so much as it did "campy."

What a bittersweet way to end the plug for King's book! JR and Lawler were all animated right up until they got to the "...sometimes" in the title, at which point they just looked all depressed. Geez, what a downer guys!

I've been waiting for Michaels vs. Jericho since the Elimination Chamber match. These two are gonna do great together. But Shawn Michaels was Jericho's hero? Are they overstating Shawn's age, or understating Jericho's?

I already talked about Booker and Goldust in some other thread, so no more on that now.

I also liked the RVD/Kane promo, as well as what ocurred after the match when RVD was trying to get Kane to do that thumb thing he does, and Kane was all "Nah, I'll just stick to what works" and detonated the rings posts. So, why are Van Dam's shoulders so far back anyway?

When Eric Bischoff said that the main event slot was going to be a HHH Appreciating Ceremony instead of a match, I just visualized the internet exploding in rage. Personally, I really liked that confrontation. A feud I've never seen before, and both guys were great on the mic. This is the first time I've ever cared about anything Scott Steiner did.

Oh yeah, I agree that Triple H's tie looked terrible. There's just no excuse for that.

How can a jar have any amount of ass? Does that even make any sense?

On that note, that's one of those things I knew wasn't funny...yet I laughed anyway. Goldust can make anything funny with his delivery. My personal favorite came a few months ago when he dressed up as Ben Franklin and said "There were times when I wanted to punch Thomas Jefferson right in the gonads, but I didn't"

It's all about delivery with Goldust. The man's a genius!

But Steiner has the wit of a retarted 4 year old.

Watching his promos you can almost see him trying to calculate some inane pseudo-catchphrase.

He's like Warrior, except he uses real words...Just not very well.

1. Don't insult retarded 4 year olds by comparing them to Scott Steiner. At least they can take two steps without worrying about ending up crippled.

2. Dingbat has become a combination of Walt 'Clyde' Frasier/Bob Backlund/Dusty Rhodes/ and Unibomber (no, not him, the real one). I still think Dingbat's going to show up on the 10th anniversary RAW show taking hostages until he is provided with a new thesaurus and an audience to hear him silliloquate, if you will, about his stupendous, incredulous, audacious, austentatious beliefs.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

Jericho is about 30 and Shawn is 37. Jericho's said before that Flair was his hero growing up but he Shawn inspired him to keep going and try to make it in the US.

I hope it's a good match because I don't see how it benefits Jericho either way. If he loses, he lost to the old hasbeen. If he wins, he just beat HHH's sloppy seconds. It'll be nice to see Shawn in a match that might *gasp* have some wrestling in it.

Couple of notes:

Was it me, or when Trips and Steiner finally went nose to nose, did Trips get the upper hand (or nose in this case)? For some reason, hearing that Steiner has the biggest arms made no difference to the power of the schnozz.

Bod's a great fragrance and all... but with names like "Totally Ripped Abs" -- which almost sounded like "Totally Ripped Ass" -- it doesn't hold a candle to Axe.
I Victoria, btw. The first animation before she won the title rocks the house. Damn, and I Molly before... but I guess psycho beeotch overrules virtue. Oh well.

LOL, I noticed that too, that beak basically squashed Steiner already. HOnestly, I know that Steiner's a known butcher of the English language, but I think this should be fun, if nothing else.
