The new WWE videogame Smackdown 4: Shut Your Mouth has removed the Rock from the cover and replaced him with Triple H.

Along with his second DVD in almost as many months this begs the question, Can the WWE make a product without starring Triple H?

Wait, everything in the WWE revolves around HHH? I must have missed it during one of his 57 segments on RAW.

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

I read The Rock was central, HHH was to the side and it is just a movement of HHH to the middle and Brock to the side. There are 7 wrestlers featured on the front.

You have to remember,What is good for Triple h is good for the WW(F)E,and with him on the cover the game will sell an extra 50,000 copies.

And I thought Trips thought video games were bad?

Hey I for one want hemsley on the cover of everything right now. Business is way down and who better to be the scapegoat than hemsley. What Lex Luget was blamed for in the wwf in the mid 90's Hemsley will be blamed for right now. So hell make a third HHH dvd.More Game shirts. Hell, I hope they title a ppv the Game. Anyone remember the DX ppv???????

On other, less serious talk:

From the THQ Website:

WWE Crush Hour
World Wrestling Entertainment™ Crush Hour takes the intensity, competitiveness and brute strength from the squared circle and drops it into the world of car combat. More than twenty WWE Superstars jump into their Super Cars bringing the pain to the streets. Layeth the rubber down in the Rock's™ speedster, cruise and bruise in the Hardy Boys'™ souped up Woody or pummel the competition in the Big Show's™ diesel. It's going to take more than a three count to win in this arena.

Riiiiiiiiight.

(And A-Mol, I realize that Shut Your Mouth is one of Rock's sayings, but with Rock out for so much of the time over the past year or so, he SHOULDN'T be on the cover of the game, catchphrase or not. The series has been set to roll around Rock's phrases, yes, but that doesn't mean that he should get the cover. I'd much rather give it to Edge, Angle, RVD, or even HHH)

Yikes, with all this talk about The Rock laying the "rubber" down and the Hardy Boyz "woody" I'm beginning to wonder just what kind of videogame company THQ is running over there.

And in OTHER NEWS:

Click This Link or Save The File to see Tajiri hit Nash with the Poochie bomb. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll FEEL Nash's anguish as he tries to hold down Tajiri, even in the video game world.

(Also watch Kidman completely no-sell the Superkick. Whatsupwiththat?)

Hey Yo...

Who cares if Triple H is on the cover? I mean, he IS main eventer, he IS a current world champion and he's on the game right? Now, if it was somebody like Mysterio and he wasn't even on the game, THEN I'd be perturbed, but complaining about a guy who's on the game and who is probably one of the more over guys on the roster is kinda' like buying mint chocolate chip ice cream and complaining about there being too many chocolate chips.

I feel better complaining about it. He is the Raw champion, but Brock would be a better choice. Trips is the main face on the cover and the other guys are in the background.

The WWEs Crash Team Racing game sounds silly.

I just watched that video clip and was reminded exactly why Yukes and THQ suck at making wrestling video games. That game is going to be absolute crap.

I bought the last Smackdown game and it blew. Luckily, the people at my local by-back shop paid me $30 for it since it was still pretty new.

Isn't Booker T one of those wrestlers on the cover? I thought he was the one who likes video games.

Also back to that Crush hour game, The Big Show has a diesel? I wonder if that's the slowest one in the game.

i don't really see the problem. if it wasn't for the rock buggering off to make movies, he'd be the cover boy.

this is just like around 98-99 where Stone Cold was the man on everything.

remember how he was accused to holding people down too? (JJ, BABG?)

I am curious as to whether or not this game will give Nash another case of Monster Truck Madness?

If so, it may be years before he fully recovers.

I found the original Smackdown! to be a decent game. i found it to be really retarded at times, but it had a lot of good stuff to it.

In response to the NO SELLING comment, I liked WCW Backsage Assault, because the characters there sold damage there. Even if the game was pretty crummy.

It does look like the videogame is going to suck, and I'm not just saying that cause Triple H is on the cover.

The first Smackdown game was great. The problem is that THQ is cheap and lazy so they keep reusing the same engine in all the new Smackdown versions 2-4. They update the roster and make a few cosmetic changes, but it really is the same game. No reason to spend $50 on it.

Yeah, this would have been surprising if he had never destroyed his leg. I don't know if we are ever going to see a version of Jeff close to what we know and maybe love.
