| #1 Posted on 26.8.02 1043.03 | It was a toss up whether this should go in Wrestling, Random, or Music, but here goes:
This weekend I was doing some work around the apartment with my radio on, and it came time for "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me", a mildly amusing newsquiz on NPR. They announced that the "celebrity" guest this week was going to be Bob Mould. Now, that got me interested, seeing as I was a fan of Husker Du, so I decided to pay attention when he was on the program.
They spent the whole conversation with him talking about the time he spent writing for WCW about 3 years ago! It was kind of surreal. Was this common knowledge? It really surprised me and the Mrs. - we sure didn't know about it.
Bob made a half hearted attempt to defend wrestling to the NPR audience, but it seemed like he knew it was a hopeless task. And of course, the panellists had a field day with it. Anyway, if anyone wants to hear it, the link it below. Like I said, it's mildly amusing.

(it's the 08/25/02 program)

| #2 Posted on 26.8.02 1254.18 | I read somewhere that Mould wanted more wrestling and less Crash TV.
I wonder if that show will be rerun.

| #3 Posted on 27.8.02 0123.05 | Another interesting fact - Bob Mould originally wrote the main theme music to The Daily Show on Comedy Central.
As for his work with Husker Du, Sugar, and solo work - all good stuuf.

| #4 Posted on 27.8.02 0805.18 | Instant Rating: 0.00 | I posted this quote a few months ago but here it comes atcha again:
From the liner notes of Mould's latest album, Modulate -- "THANK YOU: ... Kevin Nash, Kevin Sullivan, Ed Ferrara, Gary Juster, Bill Busch, ..."
It sounds like he was in tight with the Old Boys Network who gave Russo the boot the first time. Cool.

| #5 Posted on 30.8.02 1644.11 | I am acquainted but not exactly friends with the guy who plays drums for Bob Mould live. Mould does all of his instrumentation for his CDs, but this guy I know (friend of an ex) plays drums for him and knows him well.
One night I picked this guy's brain as much as I could about the Mould / WCW connection, but the guy didn't know much. All I remember the guy saying is that Mould said that wrestling was the single most backstabbing, unloyal industry he had ever witnessed. Remember, he was with WCW in the dread latter days. So that's about all I know about it.
Oh yeah, The New York Times Magazine (that comes in the Sunday paper), did an interview with him (mould) ayear or so ago, and he talked about his experiences some in there. Could be online. | Mr. Heat Miser
