I was gonna post a thread for He-Man but you beat me too it
I didn't see too much of the movie but from what I saw Mer-Man is getting a big "push" even though he did the "job" to Teela.
Sorry about the use of wrestling terminology.
I am immortal I have inside me blood of kings I have no rival,no man can be my equal So take me to the future of of your world ---Queen,Princes of the Universe
The unknown monster is probably Clawful. He was one of the toys from the original line, circa 1984.

Mr. Broslofski: Now you go brush your teeth, and march into bed. You won't be opening your Hannukuh present tonight. Kyle: Probably just another stupid dreidel anyway. Mr. Broslofski: What did you say?!? Kyle: I said Ike's on fire. - South Park, Episode 110 - "Mr. Hanky, The Christmas Poo"
I always liked Mer-Man (first series character and all), although Trap Jaw was a cooler toy.
Why are the heels always better looking and more flashy than the faces? (sorry, couldn't resist more wrestling talk)
My favorite good guy had to be Ram Man. I still remember the toy commercials when he first debuted.
I feel sorry for kids who don't enjoy action figures today. What is this world coming to?
DMC (P.S. I don't know if the claw monster was from the original line; he likely came about later. The original guys were Skeltor, Beast Man, Mer Man, and not too many others bad guys.)

The faces are bare-bones because they don't need to look badass, the heels do.The heels have to look that way to make up for them jobbing to the faces all the time.
The heels are just insecure I guess and they make up for it by looking better than the faces.
I think that was what I was trying to say.

The cartoon itself was really fucking cool, although I don't know how much of it was nostalgia-related. Still, I don't remember Clawful being that annoying.

I haven't seen the show yet, but by looking at the pictures, I can assume that Man-At-Arms looks like he's going to OWN THE PLACE. It looks like he's wearing a tank!
Hey man, Skunk-or rocked 23 different kinds of ass. Sure, I don' remember ever seeing him in the cartoon (much like the badass cowboy dude with a gun in his chest)... but, he stunk. That's why he was cool and stood out.

he was all shades of crap...every last one...Lockjaw and the cyclops guys rocked! (toy wise that is, and they now rock...it's like they said, "lets do an anime style he-man"...is an anime style G.I. joe or transformers be far behind?)

They don't enjoy action figures because the figures have to stay in the box and are put in the family vault (hermetically sealed) so that they may be sold to fund a college education later in life.
My brother and I were reminiscing about He-man just last week; we both agreed one of the coolest toys was the sucker-face guy. Mind you, having looked at these pictures we were forgetting an awful lot of characters (and MossMan!! MossMan rawked!).
I've been disappointed by new versions of old cartoons before (the latest attempt at Voltron makes me cry). This new He-man, however, seems to show promise.

how come you're so afraid of things that dont make any sense to you? do you water your raisins daily? do you have any raisins? is there anything that does make sense to you? are you afraid of twelve button suits? how come you're so afraid to stop talking?
I remember talking to my roomie about how kids these days are not getting the same quality cartoons that us 80's/earlier 90's generation grew up with. But something strange has happened.....I saw TRANSFORMERS turn into anime style recently on FOX. And now He-man is back. Could it be that some of the 80's/earlier 90's cartoons are making a comeback to show these new millenia kids what CARTOONS ARE ALL ABOUT?
If the potent abilities of He-man and Transformers can not make the kids these days realize how golden cartoons used to be, it will leave us with two options left. One is show them some classic Looney Tunes (even those crackheads at TV Guide agreed Bugs is NUMBER ONE). And the second....
Is to bust out SOME TEENAGE MUTANT F'N NINJA TURTLES.
I was in kb toys the other day .... and saw some of the he-man figures. They look pretty good. I saw some of the bigger toys... like battle cat and such.... i still dont like oversized figures/accessories.
On a side note i did find some sports figures on sale... 99cents each... yeah!
I remember I had a Mossman figure back I was younger but I found another one in a little 5 and 10 store in 1997,in perfect condition.I still have it today.
I had a lot of the He-Man toys.I had The Slime Pit,Battle Cat,tons of figures but over the years they have got thrown away.
For that I hope the He-Man gods have mercy on me.
Rebecca: Oh,face it,you just hate everybody.
Enid: That's not true.I just hate all these extroverted,obnoxious,pseudo-bohemian losers.
Mossman was a cool looking toy, but he never stood a chance. He blended to well with the grass and was eaten by the dog the next day. All that remained was a half chewed mossy arm.
I saw a bit of the new cartoon. From what I saw I enjoyed. The heels didn't come off as a bunch of bumbling idiots like the earlier version. The evil lady looked mighty hot.
Where was the man with the golden karate hand and the two headed man? The He-Man show had great heels characters like the SpiderGuy and Whiplash. TrapJaw looked better than ever and was probably the best of all the figures. I never owned to many of the face toys though The Bumble Bee man and the Falcon and the Big Fist Man just didn't have the look.
