If I were to guess, The Rock is going in the Hall of Fame next year.
I'm delighted. I'm definitely going. One of my best friends lives in Miami, so no hotel room expenses or rental car for us. Even if the show sucks, like 25 did in Houston, which turned me off from going to WrestleMania the last two years, hanging in Miami and South Beach would more than compensate for a bad wrestling show.

Well it seems they've forgotten every location above the Mason-Dixie line. This would make the 5th consecutive WM in a southern/sunny state.
I wonder if that has to do with it basically being a week long festival these days, and that the many people from around the world would like a sunny vacation more than a possibly-cold-rainy one.

Did they move Florida to the west coast when I wasn't looking? And last I checked, Atlanta was on the east coast as well. Granted, I haven't looked at a US map recently but, based on the reaction the changes to the eastern zodiac received, I'm pretty sure I would have heard of a geographical reorganization of the United States on Twitter at some point, albeit from people who completely misunderstood the situation. | John Orquiola

Yeah, it has EVERYTHING to do with that. As long as WrestleMania is being held in stadiums, it won't be north of the Mason-Dixon line. Weather in the late winter/early spring is a factor, as is convenience as a tourist destination. WrestleMania week requires 1) a stadium 2) a nearby arena to host RAW and/or The Hall of Fame 3) a nearby theater to host the Hall of Fame if the arena won't do 4) a nearby convention center or pavilion or grounds to host at least 3 days of Fan Axxess 5) nearby golf grounds to host the annual WrestleMania tournament.
I'd love to have another WrestleMania in Boston, for instance, but we can't offer all those things in a centralized location.
Probably a return to MSG for the 30th anniversary would be the only thing to break this stadium in the south trend.

Florida is in the South and yes, part of it is on the east coast, the other half in the Gulf of Mexico. Anything below the Mason-Dixon line is considered the South. I thought that was common knowledge, but whatever.
I understand the need for sun and fun for the crew. Yet, Mania is usually the last week of March or the first week of April where most of the winter is over for us Northern states. Its not like its done in February like the Super Bowl even then sunny "Dallas" turned into a winter nightmare. Even if it was in Toronto, a good chunk of us could have gone to that one as well. It just feels like when it comes to the Big 2, we are getting shafted. SummerSlam seems to be a California event then anything else. | John Orquiola

That's part of why it's a multi-day event with travel packages to make it attractive to make a vacation of going to WrestleMania, as opposed to it just being a show for one night. After all, there are 11 other PPVs a year, odds are one will land in your town or near your town in the course of the year. But otherwise, you're "going to WrestleMania".
Of course, the main reason any of this is happening is money. Money for WWE and money for the host city.

Yup. I assume they can do everything in NYC/NJ for 30. WM = MSG. HOF = MSG theater Raw = in NJ (either the izod or the current Devils arena)
Heh, even ROH doesn't have to try hard to find their arena. the Hammerstein is just around the corner :)
Damn...now I made myself drool over the potential fun at WM30.

Yup. Gotta say the travel packages rock. Been using them for 10 years now, and they really do take care of you. Orlando was the best though, when we got 2 day passes to Universal parks too :)

Orlando really was the best. Orlando was hands down the best wrestling experience I ever had in 25 years. The shows were great, Axxess was fun, you had Flair (then) retiring to add that sense of history, and it was awesome to be able to go to Universal and take a break from WWE that weekend. I'll never say anything but great things about WrestleMania 24 in Orlando.

The general consensus was that WM XX would be at MSG. But considering that the previous 3 WM's were held at stadiums, how would WWE be able to make up the lost gate? Well, the answer was obvious - raise ticket prices A LOT. Ringside seats went from $400+ to $750. And they kept that same pricing scheme going forward. Now, we'll likely have 7 very financially successful stadium shows before going back to MSG for WM XXX. I can't wait to see the increase in ticket prices in 2014.

Don't remind me, I had one ticket for $1400 and I had to think twice before clicking no. I just went to ticketmaster for $300 more, I can get a second ticket and probably closer to the ring. MSG is nice for the historical reasons, but a giant pain in the ass to get tickets for. Fans only to have themselves to blame when it comes to high ticket prices, they are the ones who bought them when they were higher then they should be. I just hope they realize doing these outdoor events, their luck is going to run out when it comes to the weather. I do think the new Giant stadium for Mania is a better idea then Giant stadium for the Super Bowl.
Dallas is my outside bet for WM 30 if its not MSG. Even with the superbowl fiasco, it has to be on Vince's top five list. Its in Texas which seems to be getting a Mania every third year for some reason. Its not going to be the dead of winter like the Super Bowl was and even if you lower ticket prices, you still make a nice profit. I am not a big fan of weekend package deals for just one event. I would think by Mania, I would be sick of standing in line for shit and maybe wrestling in general. The Orlando package with Universal at least breaks up the weekend. So, I guess you would stay an extra day or just do the park before the HOF. I don't know what the appeal of Miami would be the family orientated fans maybe booing the greatest heel faction in sports. I don't think clubbing is going to be in the typical Cena fan list of things to do.

Main reason why I always do the package is because I don't have to worry about finding seats and hotels etc. It's all included for an (imo) reasonable price. But we don't follow the WWE guys around town and usually end up skipping Axxess (one quick run through it maybe) to break up the Wrestling overdose.

There's lots of people that go to WM that do go to clubs, etc. The families are probably asleep by 9pm because they spent the entire day doing stuff provided by WWE and have to be up early to stand in line for someone's signature somewhere in town. ;)
