Not a bash by any means, but what's the general concensus of Online Onslaught?

I really enjoy their site and the people who work hard at putting togther a decent website.

Anyone else?

I personally like it also. The Squared Circle Jerk is a good follow-up after reading CRZ's recaps of Raw

Everyone seems to like you since you are funny and the life of the party.
However, take away those few gimmicks that you
keep a
crowd entertained with, and there really isn't much else left.

i love OO...it's how i found Zed way back in 98/99 when i got back into wrestling w/ WM14 after a 4 year break.

but man...i will never read The Squared Circle Jerk....

why?

well, if you know what a Circle Jerk is, then you'll know why i'm scared to peek at his column...

OO is the only site I frequent besides slash/wiener. I like Rick's stuff and first started reading when he was on wrestline. I really used to dig his "stump the Rick" section. I missed his stuff and CRZ's the most when wrestline folded (I didn't about slash back then)
The "Squared Circle Jerk" is pretty funny. So is "The Smarkies"; I think that's gotta be my favorite internet column. I think the main reason I like OO is that it doesn't seem to have nearly as much negative crap and WWE bashing as you see elsewhere.

At least it's not the "Squared Circle Soggy Cookie" or the "Squared Circle Bunch of 13 Year Old Boys on a Camping Trip Mutually Masturbating Each Other".

Grow Up!

hey, it shows you how a title can lure/repulse a reader

in my case, it repulsed me...

and i work at a video store with a huge porn section, so i see the words "circle jerk" and take them in a different light...

Rick does a very enjoyable site, far removed from the pissing contests of Ryder, Scherer, Keller, and Meltzer. I wish he got paid enough to update it more often. OO and Slash are my "comfort wrestling websites". The others I just read to get news.

I've been a fan of "The Rick" since wrestlemaniacs.com was the premier internet wrestling site. It's how I was introduced to CRZ, Mike Samuda (why did he have to grow up ?), and the Netcop. 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

I like Rick's style. He's on the optimistic side of things, but he's also honest about the stuff he doesn't like. It's refreshing to read his stuff after seeing constant bitching on other sites.

While I'm giving out kudos, I also have to acknowledge the guys at ddtdigest.com (esp the fellow known as TheCubsFan) for turning me back on to wrestling years ago, and providing the link to wrestlemaniacs.com that started me on the road to smarkdom.

Same here. Exactly the same here. I like The Rick 's style, myself.

On June 27th, 2002, the Montreal Expos (number one on the MLB contraction list) added MONEY to their payroll, aquiring Bartolo Colon. In a time like this, there's two quotes that come to the forefront;

cfgb: "I hate to say it, but Atlanta really needs to be watching their rear ends".
And Number Two;

DJ FrostyFreeze: "PLEASE BELIEVE IT!"

Also been reading Rick since he was The News from Dayton (And Mike was Micasa). He's the best (no offense, CRZ..). Like someone else, I wish it could be more often, as it was when the saps at wrestleline were paying him, but I take what I get.

I think of Scaia much the way I do of Rick Reilly in SI. I read him 1st, then I read the rest of the stuff.

I like Scaia. Nice, easy writing style, with a good summation of what's going on with his "regular guy" type opinions. Not too smarky, but not a mark either, and I like that. I also like that he seems to have no qualms about mentioning that he has a life outside writing about wrestling, which is one of the things that really bothers me about the guy everyone loves to hate....
Anyway, the Smarkies is one of the best columns out there, and SCJ is great if I miss RAW and feel the need to know just hot Lillian was that night.
