So I guess I was the only one who watched this, or thought enough about it to say anything.
Watching it made me wish that WWE would be more creative in their music choices for promo packages, as I really found myself enjoying the way they used some unusual choices to set the action to. Placebo and Enya are not exactly expected artists for WWE to make promos to, but I thought they worked wonderfully in the broadcast. The Enya song especially for the ending of HBK/UT gave it a very cinematic feel, and brought out the emotion of the moment very well.
Judging by the ratings hardly anyone watched this, but I think it was worth the hour I gave to it.
I watched the UT/HBK match recap but I missed the rest. I remember watching it live with my buddies and how everyone was complaining about how bad Stryker was. I didnt notice at the time, but I sure did last night. Holy crap, he was everything "shilly" people used to hate about Michael Cole a few years ago and then some. Really unbearable to listen to. I have no idea how I didnt notice that the first time around. Too caught up in the magic that is Wrestlemania, I suppose.
I watched it. The only thing I didn't like was they glossed over everyhing else and pretty much just showed UT/HBK. And I think the background package for it was longer and a lot better than the one that was actually shown at WM.
I just wished they either clipped HBK/UT a bit a more and showed a bit more of the other matches or make it two hours.
Where would we be without guys like Tom Zenk, the Honky Tonk Man (who's even FUNNIER), the Ultimate Warrior and to a lesser extent, Bret Hart? Grumpy old men.
