PWI confirms what Meltzer already reported. UT was apparently injured legit in his match with Rey Mysterio last week and he's out for the summer and is obviously out for the PPV.

Too bad. A good feud with UT could have been good for Swagger and his title reign.

I think Swagger/UT is still the plan for SummerSlam. Which would make sense if Swagger is the guy who

put UT in his persistent vegetative state, but that was actually teased by Kane so now it's "too obvious."

Well, it's not as if The Undertaker has been working a full-time schedule over the last few years anyway. Maybe this'll guarantee that they can't go back on their tired routine of giving 'Taker a couple mid-year world title reigns.

I just hope that there aren't any repercussions against Rey Mysterio for what was obviously something unintentional.

I'd think that Mysterio is deep enough into the 'respected veteran' pool that he'll avoid any punishment for this accident.

Yeah, you'd think so, but Rey busted Taker hardway at the Rumble, bitched to a Mexican media outlet about his wellness suspension, and has twice very vocally complained about his money despite being one of the few "seven figure fellas" on the roster. Could have sworn the Observer said he is perceived as "paranoid about money". Not that they'll dump a cash-cow for nothin', but this stuff isn't doing him any favours.

Not been a good 2010 for that guy. His absence allows for more development of the younger guys. I advocate his recovery at home instead of bringing back that phantom mask after his injury by Mabel.

Though it seems as if he's had the best matches of his career within the past 2 to 3 years, you can't help but wonder how much the Undertaker's got left.

Just enough to go 20-0 at WM and call it a career, I'd imagine.

If that. It seems like Taker has suddenly really started to show his age ever since his WM25 match. He had that long break immediately afterwards only to return after four months off and then just as quickly seemed to get 'banged up' again with a variety of hip, knee and back problems.

A WM match with Cena seems to be the only thing left for the Dead Man, so if I were WWE, I'd line that one up for this year's Wrestlemania to get it done as soon as possible in case Taker has to retire.

20-0 is the perfect number for him. He can promo his way to Mania for the next two years and WWE fans will eat it up. I am dreading another Deadman returns at SummerSlam to get the spotlight on him while shifting away from people who actually worked for the last three months. Same thing I expect with HHH as well.

HHH hasn't been captain spotlight hog for a least a coupla years now. Guy is mellowing in his middle age.

He was pretty bad in his run on Smackdown. He buried MVP and Kendrick in backstage segments and should have jobbed to Hardy. He beat him in one on one matches 2-3 ppvs in a row.

I don't know about that. I seem to remember a recent DX-Reunion that lasted months and put both him and Shawn (and later Hornswaggle) on my RAW screen for approximately 94% of the show.

You think HHH used his pull to put Hornswaggle all over the show? Okay. It was the build-up to Shawn's retirement, so they redid DX and sold more merch. I don't think their TV time saturation was anywhere near as bad as it was for the first DX reunion in '06. I do genuinely think the guy's got better. He still has moments of egocentrism, but he's nowhere near the monster that he's still made out to be.

I'm gonna need evidence of this because the only PPV match I remember them having was Armageddon, which Jeffrey won clean. I don't doubt you, I just don't remember HHH beating Jeffrey in 2 to 3 straight pay per view matches. I don't even remember them having that many.

The Match where Jeff beat HHH was a #1 contenders match back in late '07. Jeff went on to lose to Orton back in the '08 Royal Rumble. Hardy got a couple title matches vs HHH in late '08 when they were on Smackdown. I'll look it up to see which ppv's they were. No mercy and Cyber Sunday back in '08. Crowd was rather deflated after HHH Beat him.

When was the last time Taker was on the active roster for a full year, no breaks? 2005? 2006? Seems like every year he's out for at least 4 or 5 months.

I initially planned to mention Jeff beating HHH for the IC belt in 2001, but then I looked up the history at Solie's (solie.org) and saw that it was part of a streak of monthly title changes between April and November.

HHH beats Jericho for the belt (04/03/2001)

Jeff Hardy beats HHH (04/10/2001)

HHH beats Jeff (04/11/2001-Knoxville)

Kane beats HHH (05/20/2001)

Albert beats Kane (06/26/2001)

Lance Storm beats Albert (07/23/2001)

Edge beats Lance (8/19/2001)

Christian beats Edge (09/23/2001)

Edge beats Christian (10/21/2001)

Test beats Edge (11/05/2001)

Edge beats Test (11/18/2001)

Ended with Jeffrey winning the title and being in the main event scene for a while until getting into more drug issues.. any time you can put a drug addict over someone you can depend on, regardless of overness, you have to do it every time.
