Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is among a field of seven golfers who completed a round at The Honors Club in Dallas Thursday, shooting a 2-under 69, which puts him in a four-man playoff for three spots.
If he's among the top three finishers in a 36-hole qualifier on June 7 at The Woodlands, Romo will earn the right to compete in the U.S. Open, the golf season's second major golf tournament, held June 17-20 at Pebble Beach.
Good for him, I say! It's good for people to have passions.

Wouldn't the correct joke be about Tiger Woods? :-)
And kudos to Tony, who must be a USGA member. I think that's a requirement to qualify for the US Open, too. (But USGA membership is open to anybody. I bought a golfing buddy a 1-year membership a few years ago.)
Most teams had already hired their coaches by the time the Ravens won. That and the fact that apparently when he went to interview with Buffalo he came into the interview relatively unprepared, expecting to be handed the job.
