| #1 Posted on 16.4.10 1649.46 | Instant Rating: 8.86 | Oh hey hi there. This week, 306 items (276 DVD, 30 Blu-ray)... about two thirds of which you can immediately dismiss from your mind... the other hundred or so might combine to garner even a KERNEL of your interest. We'll find out together!
PICK OF THE WEEK
Survivors: Complete Original Series 1975-1977 (The W at Amazon) (BBC) OMG it's on DVD?! When a virulent virus sweeps through the country wiping out 90% of the population, those who are left behind must rediscover a word suddenly free of society AND much of its technology - 38 episodes - from the fertile mind of Terry Nation - SEE THIS
Survivors: Complete Seasons One & Two (BBC, 2008-10) I believe this is the entire series - somehow I managed to survive (ha) without knowing they'd "reimagined" this series. Has anybody seen it? It aired on BBC America. I'm wondering if it's as good as the original...maybe I'll pick it up after I'm done watching the original (which should take me roughly twelve years)
RUNNER-UP
Andy Kaufman World Inter-Gender Wrestling Champion A 2 hour plus compilation of Kaufman's "matches" - wow, really? Why this is coming out now is a mystery but I'm sure it's worth a curious gaze or two as well as a contractual obligation from me to put near the top of the weekly list. More info from the press release at MicroWerks/Infinity (infinity-entertainmentgroup.com)

The first District B13 wasn't bad, so I may watch the sequel.
